Beds in the twin rooms seem to be only 2'6" wide. By trying to turn to one's side, it is easy to fall off the bed. The night was spent in tread of falling off and hence awake. The staff said that double rooms had 5'0" beds, so to match twin rooms had 2 x 2'6" beds, so they could be joined together. I ask:-"surely if one wants the beds together, why not take a double room ? Twin rooms should have 2 x 3'6" comfortable beds.
Otherwise I thought the staff were wonderful, all of them, nothing was too much trouble and pleasant too with a good sense of humour..The place was spotlessly clean and everything worked.
To summarize, excellent place to stay while traveling, do not take a twin room, get a double even if you stay alone.

Stayed at teavelodge hotel on October 2013.
The service is really good with clean presented rooms and also next to mildenhall town where I was working.
Be sure to book in advance tho as they do get booked up quiet quickly

A visited Barton mills travelodge, easy to find. Just up dated so everything was very clean and fresh. No problems with noise. Stayed two nights. Will certainly stay again when in the area. Could not get wifi on my phone and would prefer not to have have to buy vouchers to access it. Tried them befor could get it to work. Otherwise great stay

the hotel was an easy base for ely and cambridge but only had a little chef so nothing special in the way of food and road works were going on so that was a bit chaotic to say the least but overall was a good experiance and was a saver room so good value

I have stayed quite a few different Travelodge hotels and this is the best one I've been in so far. The place was much cleaner and felt more like a hotel than previous ones I have stayed in. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful and the room had everything you'd expect for only £31 a night, which I think was excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

Room Tip: Book with the saver rate to get even better value for money

We stayed here for a wedding we attended at nearby Chippenham Park.
This was my first ever stay at a Travelodge. Myself and husband usually stay at a rival budget chain hotel.
I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and overall appearance of the place, it's recently been refurbished.

We received a warm welcome from the receptionist who advised us on where to get breakfast etc.

The rooms were clean and spacious. They included a TV and tea/coffee making facilities.
I was quite shocked by the fact there is no hand soap to use in the bathroom after going to the toilet!
The bed was very comfy and I got a very good nights sleep, couldn't hear any noise coming from outside.

A good stay and would use this particular Travelodge in future should the occasion arise.

Oh and just quickly! We ate at the Little Chef, wasn't amazing but our breakfasts were OK. Bit shabby inside.

This was are first visit to the area and we chose this hotel for its location. It is a basic hotel with no cafe or bar but there is an excellent pub in Mildenhall (The Half Moon, see my review).
We were greeted by a lovely lady, named Sheelagh who made us feel very welcome and gave us some useful information about the area. It was nice to see the same staff each day. We stayed for three nights. When we first arrived in our room, which was on the first floor, we were surprised to see a baby deer in the garden. The room overlooked the woods and was very pleasant. Considering the hotel is at a junction (fiveways roundabout) it was incredibly quiet except for the military aircraft, which we didn't mind at all. (The hotel is located close to two RAF bases which we understand are being used by the US airforce). The hotel has recently been refurbished and the bed was very comfortable with fluffy pillows. On site there is a petrol station and a Little Chef from which we had a take away breakfast roll.
We drove into Cambridge and parked at the park and ride (free parking and £2.60 return each for the bus. A bargain!!). Cambridge is well worth a visit. While there we also visited Ely and Thetford Forest. To me Ely is nothing really to write home about but was nice for a morning visit and has a lovely Cathedral. There is plenty to see and do in Thetford Forest with lots of walks and cycle routes. There is also a Go Ape adventure centre.
The hotel is ideal if you are going to Newmarket races as it is only a 10 minute drive to the racecourse on the A11.
One more thing, don't be put off by the major roadworks in the area (A11 road widening) as they caused us very little problem and we heard very little noise.

Room Tip: The rooms at the back of the hotel face onto the woods.
