We had an okay breakfast here on a recent Sunday. First of all it was nice to see this cafe opens early even on a Sunday. The server was friendly and prompt and there was some very impressive local art on display. My eggs were cooked well and the (huge) potato chunks were fine. Unfortunately my biscuit was hard and dry. A slather of butter and jam didn't even make it palatable. We also purchased two types of their house-baked cookies for the road. These were chocolate chip and almond and both were terrible. I should have been forewarned by the biscuit! Like the biscuit the cookies were hard and dry, but this time overly sweet. (Maybe their baking soda is out of date so they aren't rising properly?) We tossed out three of the four cookies. This cafe is an okay place for an inexpensive cooked breakfast but I'd stay away from their house-baked items.
