“Decent breakfast”

We had an okay breakfast here on a recent Sunday. First of all it was nice to see this cafe opens early even on a Sunday. The server was friendly and prompt and there was some very impressive local art on display. My eggs were cooked well and the (huge) potato chunks were fine. Unfortunately my biscuit was hard and dry. A slather of butter and jam didn't even make it palatable. We also purchased two types of their house-baked cookies for the road. These were chocolate chip and almond and both were terrible. I should have been forewarned by the biscuit! Like the biscuit the cookies were hard and dry, but this time overly sweet. (Maybe their baking soda is out of date so they aren't rising properly?) We tossed out three of the four cookies. This cafe is an okay place for an inexpensive cooked breakfast but I'd stay away from their house-baked items.

This restaurant served an average sandwich, we had the reuben and the chipotle chicken sandwiches which my wife and I ate half of each. The chicken sandwich had great flavor but the meat was rubbery, as if microwaved too long to reheat. The pastrami reuben was short on sauerkraut and the meat or the bread had an unusual flavor. The salad was fresh and crisp but the bleu cheese dressing was bland except for the cheese chunks stirred in which were good. French fries were crisp and hot and were the best part of our lunch. The waitresses were friendly and witty and made an otherwise average lunch more palatable. The breakfast menu looked good and we will go back to give them a try.

Took a break from our springtime road trip for breakfast in the small town of Quincy. What a good decision! The Courthouse Cafe was a perfect choice for brunch. The omlettes were fantastic, hashbrowns good and crispy and the staff just as friendly as could be even though we arrived 15 minutes before closing. Really great young staff welcomed us and never made us feel rushed for getting there a bit late. The chili omlette was incredibly good, filled with melting cheese and homemade chili. The chef salad huge, fresh veggies with good quality meats and homemade dressing. Wish we had saved room for dessert! Maybe we need to make another trip to Quincy?

Very good food, good service, good location, good prices.
Had salads for lunch, excellent food.
Had traditional meat, fried potatoes, eggs for breakfast. Low salt, not fatty either!
Worth your while.

The cafe offers a tasty, heaty breakfast at a resonable price. The home fries were great--just wished I could have eaten all of the large serving.
