“Great place to go with family”

Nice hôtel, spacious appartments well furnished. Many free activities (pool, spa pool, tennis). You can also horseridding and there is a spa that I didn't try. The hotel is not far from Wild Safari Park San diego. The service is great and everybody was kind and helpful. You should choose this hotel if you like nature because it's quite far from shopping mall. We had an appartment for 6, two rooms, two bathrooms, well furnished kitchen, spacious living and dining room with a balcony.

We stayed 3 nights here with our 8 year old son. We opted for a 2 bedroom unit, just for a bit of extra space to help us relax. We were delighted with the amount of space we got - the apartment was a great size. Both bedrooms were big, and the living room and kitchen gave us loads of room, and they were very well equipped with everything we needed. We had two balconies (the master bedroom had its own balcony).

The pool and spa was great (we only used one of the available ones as it was the most convenient for our apartment), and it was never that busy whilst we were there, so we always found sun loungers. We took advantage of the tennis courts too. I was impressed at how easy it was to organise tennis equipment to borrow - we hadn't taken our own - we literally just turned up, signed in, and they handed us racquets and balls for no charge. There were also free tennis coaching clinics (although these don't happen every day). We weren't there long enough to take advantage of all the activities on offer, but I believe that bike hire was also free, and there were kids craft activities for a very low cost ($3 - $5 a time) throughout the day.

The supermarkets in Ramona were good, although bear in mind they are a few miles drive away from the resort - if I had realised then we would have stopped on the way there to buy groceries rather than take up time we could have been relaxing at the resort by driving back!

Cooking in the apartment was really easy, as it had all the equipment we could have wanted, even a dishwasher so we didn't have to wash dishes by hand, and a blender so we could make homemade milkshakes and smoothies. You can't take glass into the pool area, but they have thought of this and provided plastic tumblers so you can take a cool drink down with you anyway.

There is no daily housekeeping, but this didn't make any difference, as there were more towels provided than we could have used in 3 days anyway!

The scenery is beautiful, the weather was lovely, the staff were helpful and pleasant, and we had a really relaxing time, which was exactly what we were aiming for. My only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer to enjoy it some more!

Riviera Oaks is rustic, quiet and relaxing. We had the 1 bedroom villa complete with kitchen and it was like your own house. Amenities are complete, from towels, utensils, you just have to bring food to cook! The patio is a good place to relax. The pools are clean, kid friendly. The nearby Ramona park is a plus. The only downside is I think the carpet and curtains need to be updated.

I was looking for some quiet time and a nice nature hike. I came back with beautiful pictures from the hike and managed to take in a wonderful therapeutic massage at a discounted rate. I had a 90 minute massage for what I normally would pay for one hour. The resort is not fancy, but it is clean and perfect for a short break from the stresses of every day life. I would go back again!

I stayed here during a weekend trip back home to attend a ladies luncheon with my former classmates. The luncheon was held at the Barona Casino but they were sold out, so I booked the room online at Expedia and was quite pleased. Actually, it was more room than I needed as I originally has planned on traveling with the family, but ended going solo at the last minute. All in all, I would highly recommend this location.

This is our "home" resort. Have not stayed here in a number of years. The resort itself is beautiful. The clubhouse and recreation areas are well kept and very nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the rooms, linens and ambiance of the rooms leave a lot to to be desired. They need a major updating. The tv's (old crt's) and the cable system must be 15 years old. No guide-not even in the resort guide.

While this is our home resort, we will not be returning-will use it just for exchange.

The pictures don't do it justice. The furniture is modern and the units are well equipped. Everyone there is so nice, they always greet you when they see you. The activites director is wonderful as well. Equipment in the gym is modern although heavy on the weights not so much for cardio equipment. Free Wifi at the Racquet Club, a couple of pools, to swim around in. It is, however, pretty isolated so as long as you know that going in, like we did, it shouldn't cause any problems.
