This was our first time staying at the Hyatt Place. The location was convenience; located right off Hwy 50. The gentleman at the front desk during the check-in was not very friendly. I felt like we were disturbing him. Maybe I was supposed to use the self-check-in kiosk?? This hotel does cater to business folks. While the room was spacious with separate sitting area, it was not clean. There were stains on the carpet and on the sofa. The mattress was very uncomfortable. It was way too soft with a big dip right in the middle. I had a sleepless night and woke up with back pain. (Note to management: It’s time to replace the mattresses. We were in room #518.) Our room was on the 5th floor and I could still hear traffic from the street below. The breakfast selection was so-so. You have a choice of bread, fruit, cereals, yogurts, mini donuts, coffee, and juice. No hot items. If you want those, you need to pay for them. I don’t think we will ever stay at the Hyatt Place again.

The Hyatt Place is my new favorite hotel chain. Everything about it (ok, almost) was absolutely fabulous. The room was big and spacious, nearly a suite, with a half-wall divider between the bed area and the large, luxurious sectional sofa. In the middle, the giant 42" TV was on a swivel so it could be viewed from either the sofa or the bed. And they have this super cool panel where you can plug in your own DVD player or laptop (make sure you bring the proper cords) and watch movies on the big TV. The continental breakfast was standard, nothing fancy, but the people working it took it up a notch. I don't expect customer service at a free continental breakfast - but we got it!
The lobby has such a chic, upscale boutique hotel feel, the room was a comfy room fit for a business traveler, and the service was like a small family-run business that really cares about you as an individual. Truly the best of all worlds.

The only two TINY complaints I had: 1) there was some mold/mildew in the shower and the bathroom overall was small and not luxurious; 2) there is no hot tub. But seriously these are very minor issues.

I stayed here on business and the hotel was very nice, comparable to other Hyatt Places that I've stayed at before.

Front desk staff was very nice and helpful and the room was very clean. The free continental breakfast was also good and was open very early which was great since I left the hotel around 6:30.

The only issue I had was with the loud noise that came from water running in adjacent rooms and doors shutting very loudly during the night. They must have very thin walls in this hotel but other than that, my stay was very good.
