If you want quantity as well as quality go to RedHill coffee shop. Every one from the owner on down is friendly. We have eaten there for the past 30 years and the red checked tablecloths are stii there. Place is quite small so get there close to 12 to be able to go right in and get a seat

Arrived at the Red Hill Coffee Shop via the recommendation of the car rental attendant. We arrived into Ontario at 7:30 AM and were looking for a good breakfast before our 9:30 tee time. I really enjoy the appearance of a greasy spoon breakfast place and this place fits the bill. One great thing about this place is they only serve breakfast and they sure do it well. There is a huge selection of your typical breakfast options. I really wanted to try the chicken fried steak but I reserve that for a cold morning. I ended up with a ham and cheese omelet, hash browns and a biscuit with gravy. The omelet was perfect with a thin layer of egg surrounding a load of ham and cheese filling. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside like they should be but I would order them extra crispy next time as I tend to like them really crispy. The biscuit with gravy in lieu of toast was a great option. The gravy was creamy and flavorful over a small biscuit which was a perfect size to accompany this large meal. The portions are very big so go hungry. I would definitely return when in the area. It was also fun to look at the pictures of all the actors, actresses and other famous people that line the walls while waiting for our food.

Food is great but very cramped seating. Service was good but expect a long wait to be seated. Typical family owned cafe where owner does not invest in improving the restaurant pitfalls.

We wanted to try a new breakfast place. We like the idea of supporting family run businesses but not this one. The decor is very old, dated and dusty; lots of old pictures of the owner with celebrities form at least 40-50 years ago. They told us it would be 20 minutes but it actually took us 60 minutes to get in. The seating area is very small and crampted and our waitress was very slow. It took about 20 minutes before we could order and about 40 minutes to get our food. Other tables seated after us got their orders before us. The hash browns were great but the omlet I got was mediocre. You get one free refill of soda & juice (that was a nice surprise and it was large as well) but it took forever to get the refill. We won't go back.
