“Like it's name, it's best to go.”

Just okay sushi. The service is extrememly slow. If someone is in front of you, plan on waiting 20 minutes minimum. It appears to be a one chef shop.

“No one there for a reason”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 April 2012

Very small, a few tables and each needed to be wiped down. The one woman we encountered didn't have any excuse such as she was too busy to clean the tables either. It was abt 1p.m. and no one was there! Her English wasn't very good and rather than try to understand we needed gluten free (no Imitation crab but shrimp) she was insistent that it was Tempura (which is battered) that we wanted. It fast became a hassle to deal with this place and given it's dirty tables we felt no reason to try further to make it work so we left &went to Sam's Sushi in Rancho Mirage and had a fine lunch. This place doesn't seem to care for one's business-not very customer oriented.

“Oishi!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 November 2010

That means delicious! We travel to Palm Springs several times a year and just discovered this little gem, which apparently just recently opened.

Sashimi is one of my favorite things. Their deluxe sashimi platter was one of the best I've had. Generous portions of tuna, red snapper, hokigai clam, salmon, mixed spicy sashimi, and squid beautifully arranged. Also tried a scallop hand roll which was wonderful. They also have lots of special rolls and big party platters.

We fell in love with the owners. This is a little place, only a few tables, no sushi bar. You can eat in, but we got ours to go, picked up a big Sapporo and headed back to the Villa to enjoy. They're right on the corner of Monterey and Country Club next to the Starbucks in the Alberson's Plaza on the street side. If you love sushi, sashimi etc. You won't be sorry you tried this place. Super good.
