Roy's in Rancho Mirage was Fabulous!!! From the moment we arrived at the valet I knew it was going to be an awesome dinner experience. We were greeted with an "aloha" and when we entered they had our kids pick out a toy from their treasure chest and they were in paradise. We were treated with great customer service by our server -Carlos. He brought out complimentary appetizers for our kids and a very special dessert for each of them at the end. Hummingbirds are my favorite and I had to order the hummingbird cocktail-very good. Our dinner was excellent but what made it special was the service. Twice our youngest has asked..."can we go to Roy's again please?" Mahalo for making us feel we were in Hawaii once again...if only for a little while.

The Happy Hour at Ro's is fantastic! Great selection of small plates and not so small plates, good wine list at $6 per glass and excellent service from Dar, Joe, Carlos and the rest of the gang. We are regulars there and it is always nice to be somewhere "where everybody knows your name!"

We visited Roy's twice in the last week. The tasty Edamame beans are a welcome treat as to having bread & butter on the table. I tried the sea bass, my husband the scallops. Each dish was not only delightfully presented but tasted delicious. They have an excellent wine list plus the Macadamia Bread Pudding w/vanilla ice cream so good. We made reservations for Father's Day for a special two course meal advertised Filet Mignon & Lobster Tail and were not disappointed with the meal just the service. While everyone is so friendly and happy to see you it seems that when the restaurant becomes super full the service falls and takes a bit longer to get your food. We waited a good twenty minutes on Sunday to get our Appetizers which were sent to the wrong table first. The chocolate soufflé was delicious though maybe a bit small for the price of $10.00.

When you walk in, you step into a very warm, welcoming atmosphere. Stylish, warm-lighted, high-end-feeling dining room, yet no way pretentious or puffed up. Roomy enough that you're not on top of each other. Comprehensive menu, including gluten free items. Nice wine by the glass list. Very good service, yet not doting. Wide open kitchen including all the hubbub you might see on a TV cooking show. You feel like you are in a happening, high end, 21st century restaurant. Recommend Roy's for a special evening out.

Excellent Hawaiian fusion cuisine! Didn't know what to expect at first but food was delicious from appetizer to dessert. Just the right amount of food. Cocktails were awesome. My mango mohito was just right. My husband enjoyed his Long Island ice tea. We had a spicy gyoza appetizer, then I had the petite steak and lobster and my husband had a chicken red curry entree. Dessert was upside down pineapple cake and vanilla ice cream (originally offered coconut ice cream). Great service. Our waiter was the best!
