This has been our long time favorite Mexican restaurant in the desert. What a disappointment yesterday’s visit was! The food was simply awful. Something has changed. Maybe they have new owners, new chef, or something. It is not what it use to be. Salsa was bland and flavorless & chips were just okay. I had a chili relleno and it was bland. I couldn’t taste the poblano chili it was so stale and the red sauce was just awful. The rice had absolutely no flavor. Hubby ordered the steak tacos. He said they bland and lacked flavor. The margaritas were weak, not what they use to be. They use to pack a good punch. Their margaritas are really watered down. Overall we were extremely disappointed. We will not be returning.

If I'm in the desert area, I always make sure to have a meal at Las Casuelas. Food is always good, service is friendly, and the ambience is nostalgic. It feels like home.

We visited this restaurant and sat indoors. to be in the air conditioning was a good thing because it was a steamy day. The patio does have misters. Mariachi band was amazing. Service was friendly and on point. We ate table side guacamole that was yummy. Pomegranate margarita was lovely and very tasty. Moderate to high amount of alcohol. Very good. Loved Chicken taco. Always visit when we are in the palm springs/palm desert area.

There was nothing spectacular with the brunch but did find the prime rib outstanding. Too crowded in the are and there seem to be no direction for the flow of people. I think it would of done better outside and to add more dishes for the price charged.

The first visit of our trip after 24 hrs awake so we didn’t spend too long here which was a shame really. We booked and so were shown straight to our table. The menu was plentiful, I ordered the shredded chicken chimichanga and my partner the steak tacos. For a drink I had the smaller mango margarita. Food service was quick and came after we demolished the chips and salsa. The portion sizes were huge, with my meal oozing chicken, along with sides of rice, sour cream, onions, salsa and guacamole. Managed the chicken but struggled with the rest! Atmosphere was good with some live music and the staff were attentive and friendly. The price was really good too in the $50 range. Just a shame we were so tired or we would have spent longer here. Highly recommend.
