We stayed in the deluxe rooms so we had a kitchen. The kitchen was great and the A/C worked really well, but the shower head didn't work at all and the bathroom sink faucet leaked so much it required us to put a towel around it. Reported it every one of the here days but nothing happened

We are a senior couple who regularly travel I-5 visiting family and friends. We frequently stop in Redding, and previously have stayed in hotels on Hilltop. We saw the good reviews and lower cost of this hotel and decided to give it a try. For the price, we liked what we got. It is off the main strip of commerce now. As an older property it was probably once on the main drag. The property is clearly older, the rooms are smaller than newer ones, and the unit itself is relatively small. There is no elevator, so being able to carry bags up to the second floor necessary. The room had been updated and it was comfortable. The under window air conditioner was loud, but worked well on a hot day. It had a small refrigerator on the floor and a microwave. Good TV and free wifi. There was some deferred maintenance on the stair wells. They looked a little shabby. They had a breakfast coupon for a selection of free items or a discount on items off the menu at a nice local restaurant, but it was some distance away, you would definitely need a car to get there. The surrounding neighborhood looked a little iffy, but the parking lot seemed secure, staff on site 24 hours. We got a discount card for a future stay, and they have discounts for AARP & AAA. A very small pool, kids would enjoy, but no laps. Pet fee was only $8 a night, and they do take cats. For a short overnight stop this worked well for us.

This was a return visit to Travelodge Redding. Usually this is just a stop over on our travels between California and Oregon. It says a lot about a business that can maintain the same or better level of quality service with each stay. Easy Check In, Fair Rates, Very Quiet Location, Very Clean Room, Easy Check Out, Excellent Breakfast. Enough Said!

Room Tip: If you are looking for a hotel that is right on I-5, this is not for you. Also if you use the resta...
