Oxford Suites in Redding has become my favorite site to stay while in the Redding area. I come to Redding monthly for business and have been staying at the Suites. I am assured to have a clean quiet room, with friendly, professional staff. The light complimentary dinner with a couple glasses of wine, makes the experience as well as the report writing more enjoyable. Breakfast in the morning is just the right way to begin a new day.

Thanks Oxford Suites, I WILL be back.

Room Tip: I enjoy courtyard rooms as I am a country hick, don't get any road noise and the pool closes dow...

I was pleasantly surprised when my work set me up with a room here for a couple of nights. It seems newly remodeled , and is very clean . The staff treats everyone like friend or family ;)
And DVD rentals are only a $1

The price and the proximity to everything is worth it. The room was nice and clean, the staff friendly. The drink coupons and free breakfast are a nice added bonus. I didn't have time to make my reservation online which would have saved me 20 percent. I mentioned this discount at the front desk and they honored it. All around a good experience and price for what's provided. I will definately stay again when passing through Redding.

Room Tip: Third floow facing the pool seemed nice.

This is a mid-priced hotel that tries hard to please its guests.

The pros: They offer evening soup and salad bar and free drinks, including wine and beer. They also include a full breakfast with the eggs cooked to order. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The bed is comfortable. This hotel is a good value.

The cons: This is an older hotel and this is evident in the hardware, fixtures and the small rooms.

Summary: I struggled with this review. We were hoping to find a 3 star hotel or better for our stops on this roadtrip vacation. This is not a 3 star hotel. However, it is a good 2 star hotel and their efforts to please their guests did influence my rating. If you are looking for a really good value hotel, this Oxford Suites is a good choice.

If you expectations are proportionate to the price you paid, this is the best value hotel I have seen out there.

This hotel has all the little details taken care of, and that is what our family really liked about it.

We stayed for 2 nights (first we only reserved 1 night, then extended, since we werent sure how this hotel would turn out). The hotel on the outside looks older and was concerning as we drove it. We saw the Holiday Inn, the Red Lion hotel..etc looking better.

However the staff was excellent. The little details were above and beyond our expectation. we thought we had to go find dinner the night we drove in. But no. They had a very nice soup and a (small) salad bar. We didnt have to go anywhere for dinner. Again if you are hungry this wont cut it, but we were good with it, since the soup was great. The room had two TV's. Helpful for family with kids. The room was big enough for 4. They had a very nice little facility to rent out DVD's for $1. That blew us away. We saw 3 movies in the 2 nights we were there. This was awesome.
They had milk available throughout the day in their dining area. Very helpful. we microwaved it, and kids liked the hot cocoa (mixed with milk) available throughout the day.

In the morning we missed breakfast timing each day (we rose late, because we wanted to). Yet, they were kind enough to let us have oatmeal, with milk. On the second day they even brought bagels out for us to enjoy (after breakfast was fully done, and they cleaned out everything). I have stayed at 5 stars hotels around the globe, where they wouldnt go this far.

The hotel staff were all genuinely helpful and patient with you. They are all seemed like nice people. They let us borrow the trolley for our luggage to be moved up stairs. (lot of places would fuss for that). Overall great experience, and Highly recommend.

Although we didnt use it, the outside swimming pool was heated, and has a jaccuzi.

Cons: The rooms/carpets are older relatively speaking. But for the price we paid, we didnt mind it. the bathroom door is hard to lock. Otherwise everything was great. Highly recommend it.

Room Tip: We stayed on the third floor. didnt seem to matter much. Anyroom should be ok. We had the Queen doub...

Me and the family were passing through and got a room. Was happy to get a good price with free drinks from the lounge. The room was clean and breakfast was good. Family was happy with the stay and service. What anyone would expect from a hotel.

Another amazing stay at the oxford! Only the second time I've stayed here but, each time has been over and above the standard! If there are any issues, the staff will do anything in their power to resolve the issue. Found this little gem when attending a Fred Pryor seminar. The rooms are very specious and very clean!!!! Could not ask for a better experience!
