We went here with family for a birthday lunch, and really enjoyed the food and the ambiance as we sat by a huge picture window looking out at brilliant California poppies on the berm across the road. The two of us who ordered curries found them to be very tasty. Additionally, the lunch is very affordable, coming with a delicious soup or salad and the main dish. The only reason I don't give it a rating of 5 is that there were some dishes we typically find and like at Thai restaurants--veggies and peanut sauce; non-fried avocado/salad rolls--that we would have liked, and when one of us ordered a second iced tea, it arrived about twenty minutes later when we were ready to pay the bill. But I'd give it a 4-1/2 if that were an option. Worth returning.

I had the green curry and it was just excellent. We were numerous and the staff has been very nice and patient.
You must try

This is by far our favorite Thai restaurant. The tom kah kai soup is delicious. We order a hotpot so we can share with other guests. My favorite dish is the phad woon-sen which are stir- fried glass noodles with meat and vegetables. I find this dish missing on most Thai restaurant menus. A meal in itself is the house special fried rice which is served in a half pineapple. Great service and resonable prices. We haven't eaten on the patio as yet, but it is a nice touch.

Benjarong has a delicious menu...everything I've had is good. The wait staff is courteous and fun! The patio is nice to sit at, weather permitting! The happy hour offers great deals.

Liked - no, loved - the yellow curry. Was disappointed in the curry puffs (tasteless and way over-priced at $9) and the drunken noodles (virtually any Thai restaurant in LA could do better).
