“Perfect place for our family...”
Reviewed 9 June 2012

My wife and son and I just finished a two week stay here, and we hated to leave. The suites are spotless, spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen helped us avoid too many restaurant meals, and the "fitness room" and walking path helped us stay in shape. Best of all, everybody on the staff from the folks on the front desk to the maids and breakfast attendants, were so friendly and eager to help. They really contributed to the feeling of being at a home-away-from-home. There's a nice supermarket and several interesting eating spots at a small shopping center a short walk, and even shorter drive, from the hotel. And for convenience, the place couldn't be better located for the 101 freeway, etc. Most of the guests are working for the Silicon Valley outfits like Oracle nearby, and they usually keep to themselves, so there's little to no danger of a disturbance from late night parties. In short, this was the perfect place for us, and we can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Try for a water view room.

They did allow us to check in early. Sofa was hard and uncomfortable. One time when I went to use the elevator I kept pressing the button...no elevator, and I was on the 4th floor. Only full/queen bed. No real breakfast. Small outdoor spa that looked like it needed some attention. Nice walking path along the bay. BUT on our last day, no hot water! When I called down to the desk, they said it was throughout the entire hotel, so they couldn't even send us to another room to take showers before our flight! I would look elsewhere, before booking here.

I have stayed at many different hotels in various price ranges and for both work and pleasure, this hotel definitely falls into the work category.
Yes, it was clean, the staff were friendly, the room was spacious with a good bathroom and kitchen, room to work at your computer.
This is a business hotel, not a lot of cheer, but if your down for business it will meet your needs.

Staff is an encyclopedia of local attractions, very helpful.

The suites are a little dated with appliances that seem to date back to the 80's, but all are comfortable.

I stay there versus the Sofitel up the road when I am in the area because the hotel is a bit out of the way and quiet. The breakfast is continental but you should not expect a grand buffet with the rate your paying.

Room Tip: The even number rooms on the one wing back up to a small airport {private aircraft} which can be noi...

The hotel is just what you need if coming to workshops or training to one of the many companies that have their headquarters in Redwood Shores. The rooms are large enough, the bed and the amenities are standard but good and the desk is large enough to let one work comfortably on his computer using the very good and stable internet connection. The staff are more than friendly and reliable.
The only thing I missed was an in-house restaurant as there are none in the near vicinity - you need to go to as far as San Carlos, San Mateo or to one of the freeway burger houses. No airport shuttle either - this one I really missed !
I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming for business but for families as well.

Room Tip: Maybe no room facing the San Carlos airport nearby

Monotonous breakfast.

Comfortable stay but dated hotel. Rooms have a stuffy smell that couldn't air out with window open. Mini kitchen with appliances from the 80s. Quiet surroundings for a decent sleep. Tasty continental breakfasts. Located in the middle of nowhere.
