“The Mission Inn”

This is an old, mission that was transformed into an amazing hotel. The architecture is amazing; walk through and find the chapel or the Buddha for your wedding or any other nooks and crannies for a view of the rest of the hotel or just to sit and read a book. The rooms were of decent size, well appointed, and very clean. The bell service and valet were very efficient.

This hotel is a landmark. It's a beautiful boutique hotel that has been restored to its grandeur. I've stayed 3 or 4 times and had many different types of rooms, and all are elegant .The bougainvillea on the grounds are beautiful. The shops and restaurants and nearby museums are great and add vitality to the area. The nearby farmers market on Saturday's is great.

If I had to nitpick, the rooms can be a little noisy particularly those overlooking the pedestrian mall with restaurant patrons and saxophone players out late. It clearly adds to the charm, but a room in the back may be better for those that retire early particularly during the Festival of lights

This hotel is amazing! The staff is very friendly and there is so many things to learn. I only stayed one night but will be going back again. The shops surrounding the propery are enchanting and fun. Great weekend trip.

Even though I live in Riverside, CA, once a year I stay at the Mission Inn during the summer time. I love the pool! I have eaten at the main restaurant - I would say it is very good. I do miss the espresso bar Mission Inn used to have. It was nice to walk around and grab a latte.

Room Tip: I would walk around the Mission first and then ask for the area you like. The first time I stayed I...

There isn't enough time in one day to explore this place. I used to be restaurant asst manager when Mr. Roberts purchased the hotel, which takes me back to my Mario's Place days- across the street and STILL one of my favorite places to eat anywhere. I used to have access to many "unique niches" and its all spectacular. It doesn't disappoint. My eldest son proposed here, so naturally we had to take pictures for the wedding invites and then have a lengthy dinner and evening at Mario's. It couldn't be more convenient, for those who want to have wonderful food and then enjoy a stroll or a beautiful brunch on the Spanish patio the next morning.

Room Tip: If the hotel is not at full capacity, just "ask" to see what other rooms are open. You mig...

This place is coasting on its looks and history. The restaurant wait staff is disrespectful and service is slow. The last straw for me was when someone from the hotel staff repeatedly knocked on my room door EVEN THOUGH THE DO NOT DISTURB SIGN WAS UP. These people are really amateurs.

One of the most beautiful hotels I've ever seen and I've visited many across the US. Didn't stay there but had a wonderful lunch and took a tour of the courtyards, upper stories, chapels and other public areas. Gardens are beyond beautiful. Wonderful architecture in the mostly mission style with a beautiful archway at the entrance for great picture-taking. Absolutely sparkling pool.
Would love to back and spend a few days taking it all in.
