“Diamond in the Rough”
Reviewed 8 August 2014

While staying in Riverside this week we were looking for "local fare" for dinner. Tripadvisor and the hotel staff said this would be a good choice. There were right. Don't be fooled by the appearance. This is one of those places you might walk by if you didn't have info on it. It's small - rather ordinary in appearance but the food is very good. I had the chopino - yes seafood at a mexican restaurant. The flavor was excellent, plenty of seafood, and a huge portion. My associate had the pork burrito and said it was very good. The only comment I have is they don't have a liquor license. Beer and wine here. They do offer a wine margarita, which I had, but its not quite the same. Don't let that keep you away. Enyoy!

“Great Mexican Seafood”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

This small family-run restaurant was a real find during a recent visit to Riverside, where I stayed at the Mission Inn. The food is excellent, the staff are very friendly, and they move very fast. I ate there 2 nights, and the second time I had the seafood fajita dinner, which was as good as I have had anywhere, and I have lived in Dallas and Houston. The waitress brought a big platter of fish and another platter of refried beans, rice, and guacamole, with corn tortillas. Even their salsa is excellent. If you are in Riverside, you really shouldn't miss a chance to eat at this great little restaurant.

“Favorite Mexican Restaurant in Riverside”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

Everything is great here! My family goes weekly and we have never had a bad thing to eat. The decor might be hideous but the food is authentic and excellent. Opposite of the Mission Inn where the decor is excellent and the food hideous. Walk an extra block and enjoy good, tasty Mexican food.

“Good food and inexpensive”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

I would rather eat here than the Mexican Restaurant at the Mission Inn. The food is more authentic and the prices are much more reasonable. Only downside is seating is limited so weekdays at lunch are problematic unless you get here before 11:45am. Also, I used to come here with my family during the Festival of Lights but now there's way too many people to get a table.

“Good Lunch”
Reviewed 19 March 2014 via mobile

Great Fish Tacos and Tamales. It's a little whole in the wall. Outside seating isn't the best, but it works. Wait staff is very friendly. Would come here again.
