“Heroes” is the latest operation in this established restaurant location, once occupied by the Riverside Brewing Co. It’s right at the Mission Inn Ave freeway exit – diagonally across the street from the new downtown Riverside Fire Station. It’s been completely redone inside with several 55" large screen TVs on sports channels, sawdust on the floor, and a small bag of peanuts in the shell given as guests are seated. The menu is extensive and the portions are huge. There is indoor and non-scenic outdoor seating. Service was outstanding. For a sports bar cum watering hole, the food is pretty good. Heroes soon will be serving its own house-brewed beers. Limited parking is an issue here, as it is for most places in downtown Riverside.
