I'm pretty sure this restaurant has closed. Was in our mall in a small location. Several times we went and could not get in.

We respect everyone needs a night off but that's no excuse for not putting competent cooks in charge. It was impossible to find the delicate carpaccio and tasty capers underneath an entire bag of baby arugula. No olive oil or seasoning either. I had to pick off the parmesean then recombine it with a reasonable amount of lettuce, add my own salt and olive oil - they brought a big bottle from the kitchen! Tuna tartar was a nice mound of chopped tuna, served so cold that the seasonings and oils couldbn't be tasted - we had to add olive oil to that too. The worst canneloni ever!!! Not 1 speck of spinach in the mush chicken filling that was stuffed into pasta that looked and tasted more like a tamale, all gritty and hard - very very weird. The bechamale sauce was a floury thick mess - gross! The sole came with a heavy crust, placed on a nice mound of spinach bit the whole thing was drowned in a giant moat of lemon cpaer sauce - too much! With only 2 other tables there from 6:30 to 8pm we guessed it wasn't just a slow night - it was the food. The owners should be ashamed of letting what was once a fine restaurant go so far downhill. Italian food isn't that hard to mess up - it's like they tried to ruin simple fare. Bad food on top of a big $$$ bill left us feeling sick about the whole experience.

The menu at Frascati hasn't changed much since opening and needs to. Its an expensive choice at around 150 for 2 people with a simple wine ordered by the glass. I ordered monkish, a daily special, and found it a lump which needed to be presented in a more edible form. Our dishes were generally Ok, but not especially appetizing in a way which would generate a return visit.

I've been in search for an authentic Italian style pizza ever since I came back to LA. Thin, crispy, slightly burned edge / bubbles, light on the cheese and sauce. Everything here is very good, but we come up here when we're in the mood for an authentic pizza. Nice atmosphere too.
