“A perfect brunch”
Reviewed 8 April 2014

We had a lovely, leisurely brunch on the deck on a sunny Sunday, with an incredible view, impeccable service, and food and wine that was to die for! We started out with Kir Royales and scones, followed by the ahi tuna appetizer which was spectacular! Then came asparagus with prosciutto, risotto, and the Maine lobster omelette. Every bite was totally mouthwatering! To end the meal we had two tartsL chocolate, and banana. Both were delicious, but the banana one was fantastic! Excellent all around - you can't miss by going here.

Spring trip to Napa with wife and adult kids. Stayed two nights. What's not to like? Impeccable service, fantastic amenities. View rivals anything anyway. March seemed a good month cause was not busy at all!
If you get a chance try it out!

Room Tip: All good views

Several miles from lovely downtown St. Helena (which is worth spending an afternoon walking around) and across the street (and up the hill) from Quintessa Winery (where a tour of their spectacular property and tasting can easily be arranged) Auberge reigns supreme. While there are nice places to stay in downtown Napa, none have the views, service, and/or panache of Auberge. The management, led by Bradley Reynolds is top notch in all respects.

The spa has some of the best therapists on the West Coast. The views from the jacuzzi at the spa make you want to hang out there all day. Of course the same could be said from their restaurant where the wine list is one of the biggest and deepest locally sourced in town.

Hard to find a bad room view wise, but I would ask for one "below the road" so as to avoid even the hint of looking at asphalt from a parking lot.

We have been going for over a decade. Like a bottle of really good wine, Auberge ages well.

Of late, we travel constantly, away more than at home. I've completed several reviews on this site in the past year, and virtually all found serious fault with fine hotel properties across the country, but: I can't find anything wrong with this hotel!

To the contrary, it is without a doubt one of the two or three finest hotels I've stayed at in my life. This gorgeous property is impeccably maintained by a group of the best trained, happiest staff members we've had recent experience with. The cottage-style rooms will exceed the most discerning guest's expectations: Plantation shutters, ceiling fans, wood-burning fireplaces and original oil abstract art works adorn these spacious, tastefully and comfortably furnished rooms. Most, if not all of the guest rooms have beautiful views of the Napa valley from this hillside-located property, complete with the most private of large decks for sitting, sunning or watching the sunset. The food at this hotel's top notch restaurant (which actually preceded the resort by a few years) is incredible. And I could go on and on--beautiful banquet and meeting rooms, breathtaking deck dining, cool circular bar with fireplace, a beautiful pool, spa, fitness center.

If I had to find a problem (hard to do) they may need to update the Audio Visual system soon, but who cares, you're in the heart of Napa Valley and there is much more to do than watch TV.

But hotels are not just facilities, they are people. And the people at Auberge Du Soleil are the best. To start off our trip we had a minor car issue that kept us in LA an extra day. We informed the Auberge staff about the delay and they graciously adjusted the reservation, without charge! Every person we encountered was helpful, happy and a pleasure to deal with. I had a business purpose to our visit and the staff set up a beautiful meeting room for our use at a nominal cost.

Believe it or not, this hotel experiences a "down season" in early Spring and had about 40% occupancy when we were there. Interestingly, we only came because our usual Napa hotel in Yountville was plumb full! I won't mention the name of it here, but this other hotel is one of the reputed best in Napa. And it is good, but not as good as Auberge.

I can't recommend this hotel highly enough: Awesome!

Room Tip: They are all excellent--you really can't go wrong. They have worked hard to situate these cotta...

Staying in Napa several times I must say this property is the one to check out when in town. Beautiful property, quiet and tucked away in the hills, yet not far away from attractions and wineries. Exceptional service and professionalism makes the experience great.

I stayed here in a sublime room with a great view over the vineyards. It was one of the modern rooms, which I prefer. Great amenities, comfy bed, fab food and service. There was a bottle of wine and snacks in my room when I arrived. The staff are friendly and nice. Highly recommend it!

This is a stunning spot. Great rooms, vistas and dining. Close to many fabulous wineries. There is a beautiful sculpture garden for walking around. Walk to the top of the mountain up their private road if you want a nice morning hike. Will take your breath away (literally). We had a suite with a living room, fireplace and mini kitchen. It was tasteful, clean and comfortable. The hotel also offers guests a variety of mercedes to test drive for a couple of hours - that was fun. The food was fabulous and they do corkage which is great after picking up a sensational wine at one of the wineries (provided it's not one they already sell). Breakfast on the outside deck was a perfect start to the day. This time of year, mornings and evenings are cool and afternoons are hot. Pack for all temperatures.
