Auberge du Soleil was one of the most fascinating experiences for a hotel/resort that I have ever encountered. The room was gorgeous and impeccably designed. The service from arrival to departure was the best I have ever experienced. Job well done, Auberge. Thank you for making my engagement weekend better than I could have dreamed.

Room Tip: Stay anywhere. All of the rooms are incredible.

This hotel is incredibly gracious and beautiful. It is built into one of the mountains overlooking the wine country and its view are unparalleled. My husband and I enjoy luxury travel. This is bar none, the nicest resort we have ever stayed in. Even the four seasons in Maui pales in comparison to the food and the quality of service that the Auberge Du Soleil offers, and it had been our number one hotel prior to visiting here. We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed every second of our time here. We are parents, and we enjoyed the 16 and over policy that this hotel offers. Sometimes a couple simply wants a romantic getaway that can only be provided in an adults only setting. The pool was lovely and the food was unbelievable. We had the best meal of our life at Auberge on the Saturday evening before we left. We will definitely be back. This place is very expensive, but well worth it, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special romantic getaway.

This was the best weekend ever. My love and I enjoyed every aspect of Auberge de Soleil. The rooms, the grounds, the spa, the pool, the restaurant. It felt private and yet every need seemed to be anticipated. If you get the chance, you should go!!!

Having been to top vacation spots and resorts all over the world, my husband and I were amazed by the attention to detail and beauty of this spectacular property. From the stunning room to the staff that overlooked nothing, this was an incredible stay. We will be back!!

We just returned from a 3-night stay at the Auberge. The resort itself combined with the service made for an impeccable experience.

THE ROOM. We were pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade to a Valley View Suite upon arrival. The accommodations were beautiful and inviting, the view stunning... I only wish we spent more time there to enjoy the fireplace and patio. The bathroom is nice and functional - not as spacious as other similar level resorts and I did miss not having an outside shower in this type of resort. That being said, none of that took away from the overall experience and comfort. Bedroom was spacious and comfortable --- TVs aplenty and very high quality. Extremely nice to be able to park our rental car not too far from our door --- so much more convenient than having to go to lobby and valet each time we wanted to head out. Nothing is forgotten from emergency toiletry kits, to umbrella, shoe horn and lint remover... The Auberge has ensured your every need is met.

FOOD. We had breakfast each morning in the restaurant (included in the reservation). The food was fresh and delicious each morning. It was also a nice treat to have the included breakfast not be a buffet/continental offering but a choice of the full menu. The views from breakfast each morning only added to the beauty. Additionally, the complementary beverage and snack options in the room were an extremely nice surprise. Especially having access to water and juices after a day out and about was so very, very nice.

SERVICE. Upon arrival, the valet staff/bellman whisked away our luggage and ensured delivery to our room later in the day once we were able to check in. A small touch, but it started what was a seamless experience. In the midst of our trip, my husband called for cream to be delivered to accompany his cup of coffee --- only minutes went by when the doorbell rang and the cream delivered. Similarly, at the end of our trip, we wanted to arrange delivery of a shipment of wine home --- not even 5 minutes passed and someone was at our door picking up our package. I mention these only as examples of the whole experience. We were consistently wowed by the attentiveness and graciousness of the service.

SPA. My husband and I each had a 90 minute deep tissue message. Services were excellent, and treatment rooms nice and spacious. Locker rooms are so-so, relatively small for a high end spa but nice and clean. Steam room very nice as well as the three plunge pools (the middle having a beautiful infinity-edge view into the valley). No sauna that we saw. We visited the spa right after our arrival and it was a wonderful way to begin to experience the relaxation and luxury of the Auberge.

CONCIERGE. Extremely efficient and responsive. Within a day of calling, I had a complete itinerary for a day of winery tours with a driver and some great recommendations for dining options in the area. Trust their expertise --- especially for first time visitors to the region, their insight and direction was invaluable in creating a great experience.

OVERALL. One of the best - if not THE best - places we have stayed. After visiting Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons in multiple locations (including last month in Maui and earlier this year in Costa Rica), the Auberge provided an EXPERIENCE second to none. The service, atmosphere and total relaxation it offers is understated luxury at its best. And, while the price tag is certainly hefty, you leave feeling like you have received what you have paid for --- compared to some of the other "chain" luxury resorts that feel like they nickel and dime you at every turn. I hope to return again - and again!

Unpretentious perfection! We tried the restaurant (exceptional food and really nice valley view), the spa (get a massage in La Pagode if you can) and the room itself was was nicely decorated and functional. Amenities were endless and fully included.

Dined here last week with my Wife
You have to book a month or so ahead to get a table
Make sure you are seated on the outdoor terrace and don't miss the sunset
There is a bar area that you can sit at while waiting for the table
Easy to find with valet parking
Very good staff.
Wine choice of course excellent, food wonderful
Price expensive but worth it, and much less than laundry
Would go back for sure
