“great banquet food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 January 2013

Went yesterday with a large group, and food was outstanding, good service. Best dishes included sticky rice chicken, baked sea bass, three kinds of mushroom, walnut shrimp. Portions are large, tasty, and value priced.

“The Best Home Cooking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 January 2013

I love coming here for dinner, it's my favorite hole in the wall restaurant in Sacramento. You will not find fancy decorations or the extras that some restaurants put in their food to make you think that you are "eating out", if you know what I mean. Nothing too spicy, oily, or salty to punch it up. Just good old home-style cooking for the best nostalgic meal that I keep coming back to. The ladies who work there are all friendly and constantly joking around with each other in Cantonese. It's what I crave after a long day at work and the prices are very reasonable. Every time I bring a friend there they want to go back again.

“reliable for us”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 September 2012 via Local Picks

This place reminds of the old days (1950s & 60s) in San Francisco's Chinatown. Tasty food, low prices, variable service. I think most of the diners are regulars. We like it and always order enough that we have a meal to take home.

“Good food and special deals!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 June 2012

Check out the special family meals listed in boxes on the upper right hand section of the first page of their menu. They offer a meal for two people for just $11.50 total for both people where you get soup, chicken chow mein, pork fried rice, fried prawns, and an egg foo yung dish. Almost too much food for just two people! But you can always take the leftovers home with you. This is authentic Cantonese style food (look around and you will see mostly Chinese folks eating here!), but its still relatively clean (hey, I am and American born Chinese (ABC) myself, so please don't take this as some sort of racist criticism! :)).

“Good food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 December 2011

If you're looking for Chinese food at a reasonable price, this is the place. The restaurant is nothing to write home about, but it's clean and well lit. Maybe that's why the food is inexpensively priced and you get a lot! We've been going here for years and the food is always good. It's a bit crowed during dinner, but if you get there early, you'll find a place to sit.
