“Gorgeous River view, average food and service.”
Reviewed 28 August 2013

Outside seating is the way to go here if you want to enjoy the river view. The key to an enjoyable lunch visit is to get there before the main crowd. Service goes from calm to hectic as the "business lunch" crowd arrives. We were are group of 12 old friends who wanted to visit so more after we ate but felt like we were being rushed out the door after we had eaten. Food was average and kind of expensive for Mexican fare. Within our group, we had 1 "very good", a couple "good", and one "yuck"! The rest were "average". Parking in the main parking under the buildings is not recommended unless you own a compact. Several of our group with disabilities found this place difficult to navigate in, especially getting to the upstairs bathrooms.

“More bar than restaurant, terrible parking”
Reviewed 30 July 2013

Recommended to us by our hotel. This location is more bar than restaurant. Extremely loud music. The service and food were poor. The parking is the worst. Four restaurants share a small fenced area and a very small cave like underground parking area. The streets are lined with cars. Not an enjoyable experience from start to finish.

“Always quite good food and lively atmosphere.”
Reviewed 15 July 2013

We are from southern California, and the Chevy's by our house closed down. My son asks everytime we are in Sacramento visiting family to go to Chevy's.

I especially liked the new shrimp enchiladas. Can't go wrong with the addicting tortilla chips. Only wish they had better desserts.

“Evening Dining on the river”
Reviewed 8 July 2013

Stopped in after 6p Saturday the 6th and had about a 10 minute wait to get a table for two outside. Cool breezes, great food and drink and wonderful company made this meal awesome. Had fish tacos, fresh table side guacamole was made for us. I will be back real soon.

“Generally good, but noisy and needs updating”
Reviewed 6 July 2013

Chevy's food always tastes the same from location to location. Either you like it or not. and if it's your birthday you get to wear the sombrero grande. They've got the "formula" worked out -- from tableside guacamole, gigante margaritas, and heaping fajita platters to El Machino homemade tortillas. The food is actually pretty good, but -- at least at this location, which is one of the best with river view and outside dining -- it's so noisy you can hardly think. We were there July 4 when it was 109 outside -- and their AC conked out -- so it was 91 indoors. Patio dining, although available, was still too stifling. Furniture falling apart (our bench seat was ripped with holes); floor was greasy and slippery -- you could literally see the grease. Recommend not sitting by El Machino area -- too much foot traffic from staff and guests passing by in the narrow alley between dining areas. Also, suggest sharing at fajita platter -- plenty for two.
