Every time I go to CC Park I am bombarded with people asking for money and it smells like urine.

Its a great focal point in downtown Sac. Be aware there are homeless people in the area. Its nice to drive by, nothing to make a lot of noise over.

The Friday Night concerts held here throughout the summer are exceptional. The smaller local events by regional and ethnic groups goes a long way to show the diversity and inclusiveness of Sacramento. It's gonna look even better this year. Oh, and they have the farmers market weekly in season.

I worked in the office building across the street from this park at 980 Ninth from when it was built in 1992 to 2006. The very best thing about this park is the little cafe built on the spot of the old public restrooms on the west side along Ninth. I highly recommend it as the food was very good from the day it opened as Nicole saw to it. The park denizens can be a little on the lower spectrum of life, but for the most part the police have banished the drunks that used to hang there. The park is now being renovated again, the cafe is open during the week days. There is a nice fountain to sit around and eat your lunch in the middle of the park. Also some interesting historical monuments.
