We stayed here for 1 night on our way to Lake Tahoe. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and breakfast was delicious (waffles!) We enjoyed swimming in the heated pool, but the Jacuzzi was a funky green color. This is a huge (affordable) motel so there were a few shady guests, but overall it was still a good value for the price.

We love to travel and La Quinta is always our first favorable choice. We recently stayed at La Quinta Inn in downtown Sacramento. This motel like La Quinta lacks La Quinta's qualities in all ways. (hotel cleanliness, service, location,---) The worst thing was the room we were staying had fleas and we got bitten badly. I would definitely not recommend this La Quinta.

Hotel was OK for the price. Breakfast was adequate and WiFi was too slow. It is close to Old Town Sacramento, which is easy to get to by walking during the day along the Sacramento River. Don't recommend walking at night along the walkway.

Extremely bad odor in room , stained carpets, bathroom smelt like mildew, appears to be mold in the shower, bums through out the parking lot, adults gathered in the parking lot drinking beer. overall cleanliness and apperance of the room was nasty. spent about 20 min in the room and that was just to book another room at a different place

If you are just staying for one night on your way to another destination this hotel might be fine. If you are staying a week, as we did, I would not recommend staying here. I will start with the positives of this establishment: the beds are comfortable and the water pressure in the shower is great. Now for the negatives: Free breakfast is just okay at best. They serve muffins, wheat toast, waffles, boiled eggs. It is adequate; however, the dining area is very small so actually getting a place to sit down to eat is close to impossible. If you are looking to save money on breakfast this will do but if you want a decent breakfast you need to go elsewhere.

The facility has onsite washer and dryers (2 each) should you have the need. The washers and dryers are smaller than the average at-home appliances and they are expensive. The hotel charges $1.75 per wash load and $1.75 per dry cycle. Be sure to bring your own laundry detergent because the hotel charges $1 for a small, one load box. Also, while doing your laundry be prepared to be approached by total strangers asking for cigarettes and food. I wouldn't feel safe doing laundry alone here.

The rooms are dated and small. The carpet is dirty and worn thread bare in places. I was glad I had flip-flops to wear while walking around in the room. There is also a distinct musty smell. If you need Internet while staying here good luck. They do provide Internet service for free; however, it is very, very slow. Also, I would suggest bringing a power strip along because there are very limited electrical plugs available and the ones provided are taken up by the room's lamps and alarm clock. If you need to charge your electronic devices such as cell phones, Kindles, computers, etc you will definitely need your own power strip.

We also discovered that when going out for the day it is best to leave the bathroom exhaust fan turned on and the bathroom door shut otherwise you most likely come back to a room that smells very strongly of cigarette smoke. The room we were in was in a non-smoking area of the hotel but obviously someone in the adjoining room did not take this very seriously. We called the front desk to voice our concerns (as we are allergic to cigarette smoke) and was told they would call the adjoining rooms to "be sure they were not smoking in their room". We were also told that it was coming in through the air vents. On our last night there (night 6) they finally offered to let us move to another room.

We did not use their swimming pool; however, members of our party did use their hot tub and found that it was not very hot. It was more like slightly warm bath water as best and the entire pool/hot tub area was full of cigarette smokers.

All in all, if you are looking for a place to spend one night off the Interstate this place would be okay. If you are looking for a place to stay for several nights I wouldn't recommend.

Room was nice and comfortable. Breakfast was basic. We didn't receive room notification email. No lobby computer for guest. Check-in girl made you feel like you were bothering her. Limited parking spaces because there is a car rental business running out of one of the rooms.

Staff and building excellent, beds could use replacing but acceptable. Food was wonderful however not enough lounge area when full. It has always been a nice place to stay over the years, it just seemed a little less comfortable than usual.
