Description: Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch's restaurant showcases the seasonal, ingredient-driven American farmhouse cooking of executive chef Stephen Barber. LMR Grass-fed Beef CheeseburgerHoused in a former nursery barn, our 110-seat restaurant revolves around a central open kitchen with booth and central seating, community dining, and a full bar. We feature an authentic farm-to-table menu. The ingredients are foraged from local sources and feature Long Meadow Ranch's all natural grass-fed beef and lamb, organic and sustainably produced eggs, fruits, vegetables, extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, and honey. Possessing a substantial background in Southern cooking styles, Stephen emphasizes a wood-burning element for select dishes. Stephen's kitchen is also outfitted with a plancha, a cast-iron grill ideal for searing Long Meadow Ranch's healthy, tender, and flavorful grass-fed beef and lamb. Community tables at Farmstead restaurantFarmstead at Long Meadow Ranch's restaurant wine program features Long Meadow Ranch Winery's elegant and balanced wines, as well as other domestic and international wines selected by Chris Hall to complement the restaurant's American farmhouse cooking. LMR and Farmstead wines are also available to purchase to-go at the Logan-Ives House cellar door. There is no corkage fee at Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch. Instead, a $5-per-bottle fee is collected as a donation to a featured local community-building not-for-profit organization each month. We call this program Corkage for Community. Outdoor bar at Farmstead restaurantOutdoors in season, guests can enjoy a meal among the espalier apple trees, drinks at the bar, or relax with friends and family by the cozy wood-fired authentic forge. Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 6 PM we offer a Growers' Happy Hour with specially-priced cocktails, beer, and wine and a special bar menu. We also offer Weekly Traditions featuring special friendly, casual menus on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nghts and on Sunday for brunch. Live entertainment on Fridays. The regular menu is available everyday. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Walk-ins are welcome

“Some favorites, but overpriced”

Great service. Had a fantastic grilled artichoke as an appetizer. Also had ribs and eggs Benedict Spent $90 on lunch for two people without alcohol! Better choices in St Helena for much less $

“Good but not great”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

This restaurant met three out of four of my criteria for an excellent review - Excellent ambiance, excellent service, very good value, but food quality didn't live up to the rest. Loved the outdoor bar scene and vibrant dining area. I was disappointed with their own winery labels; they were average at best and expensive. The wood grilled artichoke was excellent but "fresh" oysters were tiny and didn't taste very fresh. The lamb loin and special ribeye were cooked perfectly but chewy. The dungeness crab salad was good but the best meal was the gnocchi with beef ragout. I would go back to try this place again but the food quality needs to step up a bit.

Thank you for your feedback. We regret hearing that you did not enjoy our award-winning wines, which are renowned for their elegance and balanced style and consistently receive top rankings from wine critics internationally. We source fresh Miyagi oysters, which are prized for their smaller size and firmness, from Tomales Bay Oyster Company, located just 50 miles from our restaurant. We are proud to be able to serve our own pasture-raised, grass-fed beef and lamb. As grass-fed beef and lamb are leaner in fat, they are more flavorful and can have more "chew" than grain-finished beef or lamb.

“we had 33 people”
Reviewed 25 April 2014

Revisit:: This time a group of 33 friends enjoyed a well orchestrated dinner by the Chef & Staff.
The staff is well appointed & polished. We had a pre-set , but still, the timing was flawless. This must have taken great planning, but the execution was the key. The food is great: Great House famous salad, Brick chicken, Asparagus in sauce, Chocolate pie, and unlimited wine . All was great. note: The key is the number of servers. There were ample of employees when needed.
my thanks !

“So tasty”
Reviewed 24 April 2014

Stopped here for lunch with friends. We ordered a variety of things and shared. Highlights included a ham sandwich on a cheddar biscuit with pepper jelly for a little appetizer, delicious ribs out of their smoker, their Texas hot link and many other delicious items. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'm already planning my next visit!
