Description: Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch's restaurant showcases the seasonal, ingredient-driven American farmhouse cooking of executive chef Stephen Barber. LMR Grass-fed Beef CheeseburgerHoused in a former nursery barn, our 110-seat restaurant revolves around a central open kitchen with booth and central seating, community dining, and a full bar. We feature an authentic farm-to-table menu. The ingredients are foraged from local sources and feature Long Meadow Ranch's all natural grass-fed beef and lamb, organic and sustainably produced eggs, fruits, vegetables, extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, and honey. Possessing a substantial background in Southern cooking styles, Stephen emphasizes a wood-burning element for select dishes. Stephen's kitchen is also outfitted with a plancha, a cast-iron grill ideal for searing Long Meadow Ranch's healthy, tender, and flavorful grass-fed beef and lamb. Community tables at Farmstead restaurantFarmstead at Long Meadow Ranch's restaurant wine program features Long Meadow Ranch Winery's elegant and balanced wines, as well as other domestic and international wines selected by Chris Hall to complement the restaurant's American farmhouse cooking. LMR and Farmstead wines are also available to purchase to-go at the Logan-Ives House cellar door. There is no corkage fee at Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch. Instead, a $5-per-bottle fee is collected as a donation to a featured local community-building not-for-profit organization each month. We call this program Corkage for Community. Outdoor bar at Farmstead restaurantOutdoors in season, guests can enjoy a meal among the espalier apple trees, drinks at the bar, or relax with friends and family by the cozy wood-fired authentic forge. Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 6 PM we offer a Growers' Happy Hour with specially-priced cocktails, beer, and wine and a special bar menu. We also offer Weekly Traditions featuring special friendly, casual menus on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nghts and on Sunday for brunch. Live entertainment on Fridays. The regular menu is available everyday. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Walk-ins are welcome

If you are a little wined-out, try cocktails on the patio. They have a nice selection of appetizers - the bbq pork nachos were are favorite. Order an side of the mac and cheese to share - it was the best I've ever eaten!

We stopped by for a bite. The place looks new. We sat outside and enjoyed the country cover band that was playing. Very nice. There was a loud group of quasi-drunks at the next table, but hey, you're in Napa, what can you do? The food was good but expensive. Expensive is what to expect in Napa. Lots of wines and even a local microbrewery which I had and enjoyed.

We divided the grilled artichoke, the green salad (with added chicken), the kale salad and the brick chicken. This is more than we usually eat, more than we should have eaten, and we loved it all.

The artichoke was grilled with a great olive oil, and a sea salt. 4.5/5. The salads, fresh from the garden, were served with a light lemon vinaigrette and a little champagne vinegar. The pulled chicken was great, as were the spicy parmesan chips. The Mary's Farm organic, free-range chicken was served with great gordo beans in a light tomato sauce with greens, and carrots.

While the immediate setting is great, the train and the highway are just a few yards away. We found the seats uncomfortable. Service was, well, "serviceable" but nothing to write home about. Neither the setting nor the service were on par with the food, which was really great.

While visiting Naps Valley wineries, my wife and friend found this place witch was not there on our last trip, we had to try it, after all we love Long Meadow Ranch wines and figured that their restaurant would be very good as well.

We ordered several things as always when we dine out, we make it an experience!

First we ordered the Potted Pig with house made pickles served with mustard toast, this was very good. The Wood Grilled Castroville Artichokes with Sauce Gribiche and Lemon. California Artichokes grilled, you cant go wrong here.

The LMR Steak Tartar with hard boiled egg, Capers and Cornichones with Tabasco Toast, Wow ! we loved this serving.

I really loved the Heritage St Louis Ribs with Green Apple Slaw the full order of course, I make the best Ribs on the planet and know that it takes talent to make them right, these were some of the best that I have had in many years in a restaurant.

Service from the hostess to the server was outstanding and very accommodating, we love the patio that over sees a vineyard.

You should also visit LMR Winery and their farmers market, you can purchase some of the best organic beef, they raise the cows that have long hair from Europe. Interesting to see .

Loved this restaurant and everything about it - farm fresh ingredients, great menu selection, friendly staff, awesome basics sprinkled with imaginative creations, too. Farmstead is at the top of my list for restaurants in Napa Valley.
