An exceptional vineyard and amazing story of their history. After a tour of the facility and their winemaking process, we were ushered into a room with pairings and several wines for tasting. It was an education as well as pure joy. To close the tasting, we even had a glass of 1981 to end the trip. It was exceptional. We joined their wine club and should be receiving our first shipment in a month or so.

We went to Newton Vineyard for their wine pairing. We received a very gracious welcome, and informative tour of a beautiful location, and a great pairing experience. We enjoy the wineries that offer pairings so we can see how the wines could pair with food and because the chefs at the wineries tend to be great. At Newton the $40 we spent on the pairing meal was worth it and gave us ideas of recipes we could create at home. Newton's unfiltered wines are delicious and I would recommend this experience to anyone. I would not, however, recommend joining the wine club. After the meal we got the sales pitch on the club and the benefits of joining while we were there. We bit. I got our first club shipment today and realized that, with the club discount, I was still paying more than it would cost me to buy the wine at our local merchant. What really did it, though, was the cellar wine they sent, a 2002 unfiltered cab, for which we were charged $110. Look it up on line and you'll see you can get it for under $50. The winery was just sold and went corporate. I think greed is taking over. Too bad.

I went to this winery for a valentine's chocolate & wine tasting. It was so good & so much fun. The tour was in the most beautiful landscape . It looked like a postcard. The peanut brittle made there was yummy. I will definately go back .

Went for the vista and landscaping but the the tour and the wines were great. The food pairings were excellent and better than any others we've had. The food came from Domaine Chandon, same owners I believe, so the next day we went there hoping to get more great food. But we couldn't get into the restaurant, they had a private party that took over the restaurant for lunch and Chandon does not serve pairings. So we're left with fond memories of their food at Newton's.
If you go to Newton do not use GPS, just follow the very simple instructions provided with your appointment confirmation.

Recommended by native Californians, this one is unique and very special. Nestled in the mountains, it is a best kept secret. You will enjoy a tour of this winery and make time for the wine and cheese pairing. Their Puzzle wine is named for the piece of land it represents on their winery map. Puzzle is worth the price of the tasting and you'll love every wine served.
