This charming little inn in St. Helena is a jewel. All of the rooms have attached sitting rooms and one has it's own private outdoor hot tub. The rooms are perfectly decorated and maintained. Polly's breakfasts are to die for. Wine and hors d'overes on the front porch at 4:00 is the perfect ending to a day of wine tasting, shopping and site seeing.

Just returned from a four day stay at the Adagio Inn. The innkeeper was gracious and accomodating. She went our of her way to make us comfortable. We were served a delicious hot breakfast each morning in a cheerful breakfast room and wine and cheese each afternoon in front of a cozy fireplace. The inn was immaculately clean and well kept. We had friends recommend the Adagio to us and I would highly recommend it to others.

The Dec trip was our second trip to the Adagio Inn. My Mom and I wanted a girls' weekend in Sept and usually stay in Yountville, but we do love St. Helena...the town, shopping, restaurants and so found Adagio through trip advisor.

We stayed in the big suite, and were so comfortable. The breakfast both mornings was fresh made and delicious. We really enjoyed wine hour with Polly. She is a wonderful lady and makes you feel like you are staying in the home of a dear friend. We loved our stay so much, that we booked another weekend for Dec and this time, invited my husband to come with us.

All three rooms have something to offer. On the second trip, my husband and I stayed in the room with the private spa tub on our own private deck. We are definitely planning to return in the Spring.

My husband and I recently returned from our second stay at the Adagio Inn, and it was just as fabulous as the first! We LOVE staying here! We stayed in the Concerto room, and it was warm, cozy, and delightful. The heater in the living area heated up the bedroom, too--creating the PERFECT temperature for relaxing and sleeping! We enjoyed the evening wine and cheese in front of the fire and waking up to Polly's amazing breakfasts! Everything about the Adagio Inn is WONDERFUL, which is why we are purchasing gift cards to the Adagio for our relatives for Christmas!

My wife and I had never been to Napa Wine Country, or a B&B for that matter, so my decision to stay here was solely based on the reviews at TripAdvisor. Let me emphasis that it basically rained the entire 4 days we stayed here and if anything it only influences my love for this place. The entire experience can be summed up in one word, and that word is “Polly”. Between the gourmet breakfast, the wine/hors d'œuvre hour (I think my wife and I made it 2 hours), and the general décor of the entire place, she has created a world-class experience. The Inn is only 3 rooms which makes it very quaint and quite comfortable. Guests that stay there are usually the types looking to enjoy the local wine and need a central base for exploring the region. This is the place folks!!!! You only achieve the #1 rank for a reason and that’s because it’s the best.

Adagio Inn is wonderful, comfortable with such great touches, fresh flowers, crisp clean linen, fabulous breakfast, wine in the evenings on the porch. Polly is a gracious hostess. It is in walking distances to the shops and restaurants of St. Helena as well as a great home base to visit all over Napa valley. Well worth every penny. We hope to go again soon.

We now add our "Excellent" rating to the Adagio Inn. After reading prior reviews, we find that there is very little new to say, but we would be remiss not to say something about this excellent inn, so perhaps we can just second the comments of others--Polly Keegan is an excellent hostess, friendly without being intrusive, preparer of beautiful breakfasts, very knowledgeable of local personalities and wineries, and clued in as to what is happening in Napa Valley and environs. While we were a little concerned as to the Inn's location in the center of St Helena just two blocks from Main Street, it was nonetheless exceptionally quiet (with the rooms well-insulated from each other, as well)--with the advantage that one could walk to many restaurants, or just peruse the shops in town with a casual stroll from the front steps. Polly also chose interesting wines for the afternoon gatherings, often wines with limited distribution, and accompanied each with a special insights to its history. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!
