This little hotel has a nice setting and is reasonably priced for the area (although still at about $320 at night in July is a lot of $$) You could spend another $100+ at stay at another nearby hotel but not get really too much more. Most of the units face the vineyards to the north and have a small patio area but unfortunately you can see all of your neighbors in the adjoining units on their patios -- perhaps a little trailing vine on a partition could be installed to make it more private?? As long as you get a unit in the middle of the complex or more west of Highway 29 the noise should not be a problem-- I was more annoyed by the unit above us and constantly hearing the toilet or shower being used. There was a little fireplace in the unit but you must shut the doors or else the smoke will back flow into the room. They have a refrigerator to chill your wine. The place was built probably around 1960-- probably paid for some time ago -- it would be nice if they invested some of their profits to modernize the place some-- like solar on the chilly pool and even the gunite needs resurfacing- the spa is actually greenish tint from algae on the otherwise white gunite -- perhaps stained from years of misuse. Time for a little facelift on the pool area.
The breakfast is just OK - you have to ask for what you don't see-- like jelly for the bread -- they will set it out on a place for you-- no prepacked jelly containers. Overall a nice setting that doesn't totally break your wallet.
