“Merlot is Markham's Signature but try the Zin!”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

During a recent business retreat, we rented Markham for a private tasting and dinner in the private dining room. Although the tasting, prior to the tour, included Sav Blanc and Cabernet, the friendly Staff did provide me a taste of their Chardonnay and red Zin. The Zin was the definitive winner--fruit forward, balanced and peppery. The long history of the Vineyard is most impressive as are the Woodstock-era photos. I highly recommend visiting Markham.

“Love the marriage of art and wine”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

This winery was easy to find, staff were not only helpful with product but also at suggesting other places. We were so thrilled to do a wine tasting while enjoying the fabulous photo exhibition by baron woman and his work of musicians and Woodstock! They have a great merlot. This is a winery to place on the list for sure. Next time I will bike to it!

“A good edition to your wine trip”
Reviewed 8 October 2013 via mobile

Markham is not a household name but you will find it by the glass at pretty much every steakhouse in the USA. That is why we decided to stop by the vineyard as our last stop back from Napa.

The tasting is well priced, a good value for the money. The merlot is our favorite. We picked up a couple of bottles to bring home with us.

The building is not romantic, it is just a nice winery to stop by for a drink.

“Pleasant surprise”
Reviewed 28 September 2013

Had a very nice tasting at the end of the day on our last trip to Napa. We ended up there as a happy accident (very rude service across the street) and did a tasting. Believe it was 5 wines- with the last two the "Al" and "Phil" being two very full bodied and big cabs. Both were fantastic! Best was the service- love when you get to do a tasting with someone who loves their job and has fun with it. Recommend this stop for sure!

“Learning Can Be Fun!”
Reviewed 16 September 2013

Mom is not an everyday drinker but loves the Markham Chardonnay so we stopped by for her & to see what else they had to offer. Rod was behind the bar and went right to work finding several wines for her (Moscato was a fave). She even joined their wine club! He was very knowledgeable about their wines and when he heard we preferred reds, led us a thru a tasting of some of their best ones - the Philanthropist was a fave & we bought several bottles along with the Sauvignon Blanc. Rod was fun, fantastic & attuned to what each of us like...well done! Learning about wines can be fun...duh!
