We were so fortunate to get a room in this lovely renovated B&B. We love staying in Bed and Breakfasts, and this one is a gem. The room was perfect. Our host, Jeff, was right there for us. The breakfast was outstanding. Just don't take all the rooms, as we plan on coming again in the next couple months!

Room Tip: They are a new business... so the TV's are not in... but that should come along real soon. But...

Non-witty beware! Jeff was an incredible host with a great sense of humor. We would recommend this inn to anyone coming to St. Helena or the Napa Valley. The location was fantastic and conveniently close to amazing wineries and restaurants. Jeff assisted us with a last minute change in dining plans and generously opened his wine cellar to us paired with amazing cheeses! We felt right at home as soon as we arrived.

My father owns a bed and breakfast in Portland so our standards are pretty high, however, the Black Rock Inn exceeded our expectations. The beds were comfortable and the main house is quaint and well decorated. Breakfast was delicious in the morning and we were lucky to have our first wine tasting of the day come to us at the inn - again thanks to Jeff. A great way to start off the day in Napa!

We will definitely be back to stay at the Black Rock Inn!

Room Tip: For two couples, room 3 was a great choice and room 1 was large and secluded with a private entry.

My husband and I had a recent get-away to the wine country and had the pleasure of staying at the Black Rock Inn in St. Helena. We both thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
While the exterior is of the more traditional B&B feel, the interior was a pleasant surprise - one of stylish contemporary throughout. Our room was beautifully appointed with its own private veranda, pristine clean, and the bedding very comfortable. We had a chance to look in at each of the guest rooms which all feature different inspiring designs and colors. The proprietor, Jeff Orlik, has superb taste and it shows throughout in the elegant yet relaxed feel of the place.

Before dinner we were pleasantly surprised and treated to an amazing cheese and cracker platter along with some of the finest wines we've had the pleasure of trying...the proprietor is a highly gracious host who also happens to be incredibly knowledgeable about wines, and made some fantastic recommendations about wine-tasting options and venues. Next time we head to the wine country, we will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Black Rock Inn and were very impressed with the accommodations, food, and management team. I don’t know the history of this Bed and Breakfast but recently new owner Jeff Orlik purchased the property and everything on the inside has been completely redone. The outside is an old Victorian but the inside is more like a W Hotel. Our room was very spacious, the furnishings high end, the linens/towels/amenities were all 5-star. After checking in we had a wine tasting with Jeff who is extremely knowledgeable about wines – the building even sports its own wine cave. Jeff made great recommendations on wineries that we should visit based on the types of wines we enjoyed. He is a wonderful host.
In the morning we enjoyed coffee on our veranda and an excellent breakfast downstairs. We have stayed in one B&B in the past and the owner was too involved in our stay making us wanting to get out of there as fast as possible. Black Rock Inn is the polar opposite – it’s an incredibly comfortable, quite luxurious property and the owner will be involved as much or as little as you want. We didn’t want to leave! I can’t recommend it highly enough.
