Description: Cindy Pawlcyn’s Wood Grill & Wine Bar brings to south St. Helena the classic American fare that has made her Mustards Grill and Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen Napa Valley legends. Nicknamed CP’s, the menu showcases Pawlcyn’s inimitable talent for fresh, tantalizing American Wine Country comfort food with made-from-scratch dishes such as Sweet Crispy Pork Belly, Dad’s House-made Potato Chips with bleu cheese dip, Brown Derby Cobb salad, Napa Cab Braised Short Ribs, Niman Ranch Burger with Cindy’s Secret Sauce, and West Coast Crab Roll. An award-winning wine program features the largest by-the-glass wine list in the Napa Valley as well as the signature ‘Vintner Splash’ on Saturday nights where local boutique vintners share complimentary tastes of their wines. The light-filled contemporary setting, family-friendly kids’ menu and large tree-shaded patio for outdoor dining (with live music Thursday nights) make the restaurant an instant Napa Valley classic.

Honestly we just stopped in here to have a drink before going to dinner somewhere else......but we were almost tempted to change our dinner plans. The wine list was incredible and the bartender - George was entertaining us with magic tricks. When we were done with our drinks he actually gave us each a little more to drink as the "wine expert" had a surprise for us - a plate of zuccini fries which were really good. Needless to say we skipped dessert at the other restaurant so we could come back here to finish up the evening. I can't really speak to the full blown dinner menu - but this place is really worth a visit.

Was not impressed! Expensive menu, nothing to get excited over. AND my card got hacked by their system! (not by any of the employees...) I miss Go Fish :(

This review is long overdue so it will be short on the details/specifics. This place was fabulous! We went here for a late lunch with some friends and it was, in short, the highlight of our trip. The server was friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. We ended up asking for a tasting menu and, since it wasn't very crowded at 2 PM, they said they could. We got just about everything on the menu and a few "chef surprises" along with 2 oz tastes of wine suggested by our server for each course. My favorite, stand out dishes were the fried olives and the seared haloumi cheese but we also had a few of the salads and pasta dishes, which were very good. We got a trio of desserts and the chocolate torte was the hands down favorite, of course. But there was also a lovely poached pear with rice pudding. The thing I loved most about this experience was that it was one of those moments where the food was good and the wine was good, but together they were fantastic - they really enhanced each other. The credit for that goes completely to our server for her suggestions and I could just kick myself for not remembering her name. One other thing that I thought was a great idea is they have an "uncorkage fee". If you like one of the wines there, you can buy a bottle to take away!

I knew that Brassica would be wonderful since we enjoy Mustards Grill and it's the same proprietor. The surroundings were bright and casual and the meal was just perfect. We enjoyed short ribs and seafood risotto for lunch and couldn't have asked for more. The wine list was perfect, lots of choices and they allow you to purchase just a small so you can try several. Great choice - we'll be back for sure.

We had a wonderful dinner at Brassica last night! The service was amazing and the food was delicious! Try: lamb kabobs with yogurt sauce and flat bread - so tender and flavorful, pasta carbonara, nettle pizza, bacon wrapped figs (like candy!), blood orange salad.... it was a delicious, fresh and fabulous!
