I probably would've given a better review if we didn't visit while the main tasting building was under construction. They have some temporary buildings set up because the renovation won't be complete until 2015 (I believe). The staff was knowledgeable and friendly though, and the wine was very good. I bought a bottle of the Sauvignon Blanc. The Insignia wine was very very very good! I'd buy but can't afford $240/bottle price tag! Would love to come back when the reno is done!

During our visit of May 2014, the main tasting rooms were under renovation so the tastings were moved into two small mobile units. We weren't sure what to expect, but the staff were able to carry off the tastings in a classy and professional manner. First, the service here is EXCELLENT. We were scheduled for a reserve tasting at $70.00 per person. When we checked in, the woman checking our IDs noticed my husband was in the military and they waived the charge for both of our tastings. We were then escorted to another area where we could enjoy our tastings either inside or outside. It was a warm day, so we sat inside. Our host was fantastic. He asked about us and really discussed each wine with us. He asked what we smelled and tasted before offering his opinion. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He allowed us to revisit any wines at the end of the tour so we could made a decision on our purchases. In all, a great experience with superb wines.

Was the worst winery experience. They rushed us through the tasting, the somellier didn't have much to say, and the trailer experience just killed it. Even worse, we paid for 8 tastings and only got 5, and then were rushed over to the adjacent trailer to pay.

First of all, the terrace tasting setting is gorgeous. The views are spectacular and the terrace is large enough to sit and enjoy them. As for the tasting, the staff that wasn't very informative (or even talkative, for that matter), didn't seem very open to questions or comments on the wines and were just all in all a bit standoffish. I believe the woman pouring commented on how she wasn't typically the one doing the pouring, so maybe it was just an off day. While we did enjoy and purchase some Insignia and dessert wines, we weren't huge fans of the others and, quite honestly, the staff wasn't even very helpful in assisting us with the purchases we made. So, I would give the tasting a 3, the views/scenery a 5 and the overall experience a 4. Again, maybe the entire trip would be 5 when/if we go back.

Like many others, we had a private tasting. We tried insignia, yes, but also a lot of other surprising wines such as the Quarter Moon Pinot Noir. We were able to taste single block Cabernets, do our own blend, and taste how blending improves the taste.

Like all tastings, know what you are signing up for (and paying for) so there are no surprises. We belong to their club, and if you do, you will get a more extensive tasting.

I must give huge thanks to Carly, who did the tasting with us. She was expert in wine, with no pretentiousness. We felt like we were with a friend. Cannot overstate how much better she made the day, almost as much as the view!

Every winery has an amazing view, but this is among the best.
