I have been coming to this place for years, back when it was owned by another pie-oriented restaurant chain. Over the years however, it has gotten less and less populated by people, and more and more down-at-the-heels looking. It changed owners, and nothing was done to renew any interior design, so now it gives off the air of a restaurant which knows it will eventually close down, but will stick it out to the bitter end. The food is ho-hum, and the wait staff ignore you from the time you come in to stand by the "Please wait to be seated" sign, to the time you want your check so you can leave. There are only two things good about this restaurant that keep me coming back: it is on my way to work, and it is easy to get to from the freeway. Oh, and one other thing: it is set up on a hill overlooking the freeway..... So you see the freeway, and all the way to the other side of the bay. That view also happens to include the huge Golden Gate National Cemetery directly across on the other side of the freeway. This is, oddly enough, a rather beautiful view. So if you go, ask for a window seat. It is really not worth going there otherwise.
