“Pizza, no less no more”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 March 2012

This is one of the hottest pizza places in the area, and they do pizza. Not pizza and X, or pizza and Y. Pizza, no apologies, no ifs ands or buts. They typically have 8 or more types of pizza, and sell them by the slice for the most part.

It's great because you can go in as a family and each of you can select your own pizza slices, which vary from basic one topping pizzas to more complex fancy pizzas. They do have tables, albeit only 3-4, so don't expect to find a seat unless you get lucky. You'll realize that the popular thing to do is get an outdoor seat and people watch (and be people watched) while eating your slice(s).

“Close to NY!!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 March 2011

I am happy!!! I finally found a pizza place that reminds me of the stuff I grew up with back in NYC!

Giovanni's on Lawrence Expy was OK. Il Fornaio is very good but too small. Amici's is not really NY pizza (nor is any other "NY style" pizza place).

Speederia gets it right!!!

One criticism...the sausage on the sausage pizza is horrible!!! You guys need to work on that one!

I love this pie and eat it often!

If you are from the pizza capital of the world (NYC) you will enjoy Speederia Pizza!

I used to go here all the time Great, inexpensive pizza and soda. The wait staff is nice too. The scenic view is the people walking by you on Laurel st.
