We had the good fortune to exchange into this timeshare for the first week of April. Even better, we got the 3BR Las Brisas unit on the top floor. What a magnificent condo with the most incredible views. Everything seemed to be in like-new condition. It has a very modern decor. This condominium of five units is located in a quiet residential area. It's probably extremely busy in the summer time though with the beach, a nice park, the pier and coastal trail all accessible from the street that runs along the side of the building. However, while we were there, it was quite enjoyable and relaxing. It's a nice little area of activity for happy, friendly folks out enjoying a safe and inviting environment.

The unit is huge with three nice size bedrooms (king, queen, two bunks, sleep sofa) and three bathrooms. There is a full bath in the master, a half bath in the second bedroom and a full bath in the hallway. There was storage everywhere. A street-side balcony was accessible from the master and second bedroom. I loved the master, which had a nice sitting area. The door to the street-side balcony could be left open for a nice cross breeze through the unit. The curtains could be opened for lots of light in the room.

The kitchen was fabulously equipped. Everything looked new, clean and high-end. There was festive dishware, and every utensil and appliance one could possibly need. There were even food storage containers in the unit. Everything you could think of was provided for a fantastic stay.

You can watch the sunset each evening from the ocean side balcony and the large windows. There is a wonderful gas grill on the balcony, which we enjoyed cooking on.

The units have parking underneath the building. You are provided with a code at check-in for opening and closing the garage doors for your particular unit. Las Brisas comes with two spaces, while the two bedroom units come with one. It is a tight fit. My brother stayed with us. He found parking on the street because his truck would never fit through the garage door.

We did not use any of the amenities at the San Clemente Inn. We did use the on-site laundry once and played several games of ping pong in the activity room onsite. We felt so contented staying here.

It is very rare to see this timeshare available for exchange. My husband and I could not get over how nice the unit was and what a fantastic location it was in. Wow! If I ever have the opportunity to stay here again, I will jump for joy. We loved San Clemente very much!

Room Tip: I think any unit at the Four Seasons Pacifica would be great. However, I believe the Las Brisas wou...

We stayed at Four Seasons Pacifica for a weekend and we were in the unit "Oceano". In this little condo, each unit has a different layout with an assigned garage. "Oceano" is a 2-bedroom unit with two bathrooms, and a pull-out couch in living room. The master bathroom has a jacuzzi tub. The master bedroom's bed is very hard though. People with back problem may have hard time with it. The unit is very spacious, with a big size living room and median size kitchen and dinning room. There are also plenty of storage areas in each room and the hall way. There are three TVs, fire place, and a BBQ grill on balcony. The balcony has a great ocean view to the left, though it is a bit smaller than ideal. The area is very quiet and we could her the ocean waves in our unit.

There are more than plenty of kitchen and the bathroom supplies available in the hall way closet. The only thing was that we could not find salt and pepper, which they usually have.

The unit is only half block from the ocean and it was great to do the morning walk on the walking path and listen to the wave. In a walking distance, there's Del Mar Ave, where are various shops and restaurant. The best part is that there's farmer's market every weekend with variety of food and other items, such as veggies and fruit, bakery, flowers, etc., with great quality.

Overall, it is a great place to get away, if you do not mind the hard bed. We had good time! :)

These days, where "retreat" is a magical word few actually come to realize during a vacation stay, Four Seasons Pacifica in San Clemente California nails it, hands down.

There are a total of six units, each with a different name and slightly different floor plan. We stayed in the "Miramar" unit, which is the first floor corner unit, most accessible from the street. Initially, we thought the higher view units had an advantage. However, we quickly redirected our prospective and respect for the first floor unit as we watched the calm nature of the community enjoying the adjacent park and stroll ways.

You can definitely see the ocean and feel the breeze from all the unit's windows. But there are so many other charming aspects to staying here, that it doesn't make it something you can't live without. Let's start with the size of the unit. It was like staying in an apartment. This particular two bedroom, two bathroom, sleeps six easily and without everyone crowding one another.

The living room sits off the patio and can be viewed from the kitchen as you prepare
meals from its full service. It comes complete with all the amenities necessary to enjoy
your short or long term stay - dishes, utensils, pots, pans, bowls, detergent, dishwasher, micro-wave, full size refrigerator and stove with oven, garbage disposal, storage containers, mixing bowls (you get the idea).

Our first night we decided to go to the local Albertsons and buy some local fish to BBQ on the gas grill on the patio. Within minutes of arriving late in the day, we were at the table enjoying our first meal and the view. As we watched the sun set, we lit the gas
fireplace to knock off the chill and then decided to watch some DVDs we picked up at Redbox (inside Albertsons).

There's an outdoor wash off, so that you don't have to bring beach sand into the unit, a laundry room on the facilities, and a ping pong table on-site (should you decide to burn off some extra calories). The street is on a slope. Even the apparently fit individuals were slightly winded from walking up the slow incline. But it doesn't seem to hinder the
pace of those who decide to go down it to the beach. It is simply too tempting. The park across the street has a playground area for small children and a few picnic tables nearby.

Parking is tightly nestled under the structure. The managing hotel (San Clemente Inn) provides you with an access code which lets you in and out of the garage. There are a couple of gates around the property, but all require your door key to gain entrance. The only minus (that's still a plus, if that makes sense) is this unit's patio is accessible from the top of the stairs. It has a latch that can be opened unless you provide your own padded lock during your stay. However, we didn't feel the need to do so. Hopefully any other unit using this stairway upward remembers not to let the gate slam if you lounging in the front room or watching a movie - but it does not take away from the ambience one bit.

Newer upgrades have been recently provided to each unit, but you still get a since that you're in a revamped, nicely appointed condo styled unit that's been around for a while.
Attention to detail has been paid to every nook and cranny to make you feel that you've been upgraded though.

The service was awesome. They provided a follow-up call the next day to see if we were able to find everything ok or needed anything. They also reminded us that we had full access to their amenities at the Inn, but we were too comfortable at the Pacifica and local attractions to visit their site at all.

We left feeling rested and longing for more time. You will too.

Room Tip: Stair climbing and slight slopes involved.

At top of hill overlooking ocean. Easy walk to boardwalk and beach. Nice hiking trail along ocean. Spacious unit; two bedroom. Nicely furnished; somewhat dated. Convenient walk to main street in quaint downtown. Has an enclosed garage. A bit of a climb on street to ocean.

Room Tip: All are quiet on a side street.
