This bike rental shop is located right across from a large public lot and the Metrolink train station. We paid for parking and walked in on Memorial Day at noon with 4 people and in about 10 minutes we had checked out the single-speed beach cruiser for $14 for 2 hr. ride down past the San Clemente pier on the beautiful Coastal Trail, stopping at Calafia Beach Café for shaved ices and soft serve ice cream! This was a great activity to do and the trails are flat -the bikes were in decent shape and had wire baskets to hold water bottles and extra stuff (wide wire grid so small items may fall through) and were given one bike lock per 2 bikes. They have other multi-gear road bikes and elipti-go (specialty bikes you ride standing up) bikes for higher hourly rates. Chilled Gatorade and a few other sports drinks, sodas/water are available inside the bike shop. Hourly rates including helmet, lock start at $9 and falls with longer rentals. The only downside is there is very little free parking in the area but the public lot is not too bad ~$1.50 per hour.
