Rooms were clean but did not have any view at all. There was a small but very nice pool and the breakfast was good. My only complaint was that there was an attendant serving some of the breakfast items so this made it a little slow. The hotel does have a nice courtyard area for eating and there are plenty of restaurants a short drive away. The best part of this place was that you could walk just down the street to a really nice beach. (not the one at the San Clemente pier). The pier is a good long walk along the beach or a short drive. We were very satisifed at this hotel for one night in August.

It is a bit far from San Clemente city center. However, it is very close to the beach, so it is just a beach hotel.
Big room, comfortable and clean. The bathroom is big and has a nice whirlpool. The staff was not so friendly and a bit dumb.
It has a swimming pool but it was still closed, although it was an ok weather to go to the beach.
Breakfast is poor .....
It has private parking and free wireless internet.

I was in town on business for a few days, and wanted to stay near the beach, but on a budget. I ooked the Best Western Casablanca on Hotwire for about $143 a night.
I got here, and the property looks somewhat 30s-40s era clasic on the outside. The rooms are external entry, and there' a nice courtyard in the center of the property witha fountain. The property has three floors.
The rooms themselves are spartan and basic, and if you're really picky, you may be disappointed. I travel a lot and have been to some bad places, but I was fine here. The beds weren't the best I've had, but even with a bad back, they were OK. The TV worked fine, and does have pay-per-view, and the internet has worked flawlessly the 3 nights I have been here, which is unusual for a wireless setup.
The only things I would do to change the rooms would be new carpet, and maybe some brighter colors and/or more wall decorations. It just looks a bit barren on the walls.
The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful, and people in general here at that way as well.
The best part of this hotel is it's proximity to the beach. You alk less than 10 minutes and you're at a nice park on the beach, complete with swings for kids, fire-pits, and picnic tables. There's also a MetroLink station if you want to catch a train to go up or down the coast.
There's a really good place to eat breakfast calld the Sea Breeze along the walk to the beach, and you can sit outside. I recommend the Sea Breaze Omlett and the Irish Home Fries. ay more than Icould eat. Right next to that, there's a place where you can buy a nice cigar, and smoke it while you get a haircut or a shave.
If you drive North on the Coast Highway, you'll come to Dana Point, Laguna Beach, and Crystal Cove State Park, all of which are really nice places for either nature and walking, beach access, or lots of shopping, whichever you prefer.

Anywho, if you're not picky, and you want to stay this close to the beach for relatively cheap, the Best Western Casablanca is a good value.

Everything was ok. Clean room, fairly comfortable bed, easy parking, pleasant staff upon checking in. Just don't expect anything fancy (and frankly, for the $107 we paid, we shouldn't expect anything fancy).

Absolute great proximity to the beach. I practically spent my entire youth at the beach across the street and in all these years it hasn't changed.

We wanted an inexpensive place with lots of room for a 3 night stay near Disney and Legoland but in a more interesting beach town (in case it warmed up enough to jump in the water, which it didn't.)

We were given a suite with 2 queens, pull out queen sofa, kitchenette with under-counter fridge, tons of room, 2 TVs - it was perfect. Even my messy boys could spread out without creating a hazard for my husband and me. The early riser could go into one of the rooms to watch CartoonNetwork and let the rest of us sleep.

jacuzzi and pool made a great end of day R&R spot after standing in lines at the big parks, and San Clemente is a great little town to cruise. We really enjoyed it and will go back next time we visit the southland.

Didn't do laundry there, but with 2 washers and dryers it would have been easy. If only I had asked the front desk for detergent (the machine in the laundry room was out) instead of going to a laundrette down the road.

Good family stay.
