A great selection of real beers - some with eye-watering, medically-unwise strengths, but take it easy and mull over your choices with the friendly, knowledgeable staff, pace yourself, have a really tasty, well-cooked bratwurst alongside and it's a great place to visit. Good value and a relaxed atmosphere.

Loved it - and came back with a business colleague a few days later.

Glad I didn't. The bratwurst are excellent as are the fries! Great beer selection. Stools by the window make it nice when dining alone!

The Original Gravity Public House is perfect for what it is - a low-key spot for beer enthusiasts. I stopped in to get a taste of the regional flair while in town for a conference. I had three excellent beers at the staff members' suggestions, and a spicy chicken sausage with candied jalapenos and grilled onions. Very good stuff. The order for my fries got lost at some point, but was taken off my bill and delivered anyway despite my objections when I informed them. As a previous reviewer pointed out, the service is indeed hands-off. This is not a "restaurant" by any means in the conventional sense, so that gets a pass from me.

If you want to try new micro/craft beers this is the place to come. There is an LCD screen above the bar listing out what is currently on tap with the name, brewery, Alcohol content, and what type of beer it is. It is always changing, and as the tap empties, the name is removed from the screen. Since the beer is rather unique craft the cost per beer is a lot higher as well.

Warning, there is 1 unisex bathroom here, and the line for it is usually longer than that for the beer. Make sure to empty your bladder before coming here just in case.

Food is limited in choice, but good in flavor; I have seen a few hot sandwiches, but mostly it is the sausage (some are veggie sausage) and french fries that the crowds go for.

Seating can be tough, only about five 4-person tables on the inside, a long narrow hallway leads to the rear patio where there are much larger tables that are good for groups. During an event even this area is standing/leaning room only and make sure you take a few sips of your beer before going down the hallway to prevent spillage!

Closing hours Sunday-Wednesday are 10:30pm, so they are not a late night spot until Thurs-Sat where they are open until midnight. I have been here on many occasions where my group had to leave to find another bar because they were closing up.

An exceptional selection of beers - local, national and from overseas served by a knowledgeable staff. Place can get a little crowded so finding a place to sit to eat your sausage or grilled cheese sandwich (that's the extent of the menu) can be tricky. Try the poutine for an unusual treat not normally seen outside Canada.

Definitely one for the no-frills beer enthusiast, though they do have a house wine.
