Owner description: The City National Civic is managed and operated by San Jose Theaters, a division of Team San Jose. The Who kicked off their first headlining tour of the U.S. here in 1968. This historic venue has also hosted The Rolling Stones, Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Barbra Streisand and many more. If you like small venues to see upcoming or past bands, this is the place. I saw so many shows in the 80's through today there, including Rick Derringer, Huey Lewis, Edgar Winter, Pat Benetar, and so many more. Great place with convenient parking and restaurants nearby.

We've been to this several times for various dance competitions. Older theatre that is showing its age. Parking for fee is conveniently located across the street at the San Jose Convention Center.

This venue is great. The security, atmosphere and seating are awesome. I would definitely come back to the SJ Civic Auditorium.
