Great food, great service, cute little bistro with patio seating. Always consistent. Lot's to choose from on the menu. Great wine selection and desserts too!

Delicious, creative entrees. We enjoyed every bite. The service was very attentive and the ambiance was just perfect! We plan to visit with extended family next month because everyone loves this restaurant.

Actually, once you know that the entrance is in the back of the building, it is very convenient as you can park practically at the door. Even if you couldn't, it would be worth the walk, as it is a great little treasure. We have been going there for a few years since David bought it, and whenever we feel like dinner in Willow Glen, we head here. The service is good, and David always checks things out personally to make sure. We love the cheesy garlic bread, but need to remember to get the half portion, so we save room for desert. The Lemoncello Tiramisu is wonderfully refreshing. Great pastas, excellent and VERY fresh fish, and the scallop salad in the parmesan bowl is a delicious and creative starter. When the short ribs are on the menu they rank with the best we have ever had. The Fussili Prawns with Pesto is super tasty and the portion is big enough that some goes home with us (I admit, I have had it for breakfast!). David does some great special occasion dinners, and we have been there for New Year’s and Valentine’s Day this year. But any occasion can be special with good food and wine, and you will find both here. If the weather is good there is a large enclosed patio, heated in winter, but too hot last week for us - we stayed inside in air conditioned comfort. David just remodeled and there is now seating at the counter, and it looks much nicer than before. I think we will have to head back this weekend!

Downtown Willow Glen in San Jose is a blast from the past. Visited Siena Bistro for the first time on a Thursday night. The restaurant was buzzing, yet the owner David, was able to seat our party of 5 right away. Everything had a sense of family. We were greeted warmly, David socialized with many of the guests and new them name, and their preferred seating selection. I even watched a cross-up when he and the waitress, each brought a repeat customer a serving of chocolate gelato without being ordered. That's the level a familiarity at Siena Bistro. The decor even adds very much to the warmth.
Food was tasty. Good options for veggies as well as carnivores, and pasta lovers too! We were told to get the cheesy garlic bread, we did, but most of our part didn't care for it. The best dish looked like the sole, though no one in our party ordered.
If you are looking for non-traditonal comfort food and a sense of family without the cooking and dishes, go see David and Siena Bistro.
I wish they were open on Sundays as this is a great time for family dinners out.

We have just returned from Siena on Lincoln Avenue. We found it accidentily while driving through a parking lot West of Lincoln Avenue. We decided to try it bring friends with whom we had traveled through Rome last year. Our server was Stephanie and she was an important part of why our experience was so wonderful. We started our lunch with Bruschetta and wine. The Bruschetta was grilled with oil drizzled over the top. Our entrees included: Lentil soup; sea scallops in a gorgonzola/wine sauce; pork piccatta; salmon grilled on a cedar plank; "Angry" pasta; cannaoli for two; triple scoop gelato. Each dish was amazingly delicious. We are all pleased with our lunch selections and enjoyed a taste from everyone's dish. Stephanie was very attentive and personable, while being efficient and informative. The service was well timed and all entrees were served HOT, which was appreciated by all of us. We are planning on working our way through their menu.
