“I really like the vegetarian muffalettas”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2013

Thinly sliced provolone cheese, roasted red peppers, artichokes, and olive tapenade on a huge ciabatta roll-- delicious. These sandwiches are so large, two people can easily split one. If you are super hungry, add a small bowl of jambalaya. The prices seem expensive until you figure two people can split it--- then it's positively cheap. They have a bit of a bar scene and live music on weekends.

“Great food and atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 March 2013

We found this place right around the corner from the HP Pavillion before the game and what a find! It appeared to be a local's favorite serving quick, hot, New Orleans style food. Our group had fried oysters, chicken wings, turkey burgers and sweet potato fries, all delicious! Highly recommend this joint!

“Beignets -fabulous!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2013

The po' boys are terrific, and finishing with powdered sugar swamped beignets and chicory coffee are a must. Feels like you are in Louisiana!

“Fun music average New Orleans style food”

The food is just average but having the music makes it taste a little better than it is. Really enjoy the ambiance.

“Awesome all around!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 November 2012

PHB is a total gem. The fabulous Cajun cuisine is totally authentic - the po' boys, gumbo, and combo platter are standouts. High quality live music, comfortable setting (whether inside the main house or on the patio), and friendly service = a place we keep coming back to, again and again. The beer selection is a total highlight - they have everything from PBR to a fancy specialty release from a local brewery at any given time. Locals know this is THE place to go, and now you do too! One of our favorite establishments in the Bay Area.
