“Day trip to SLO, Pismo, and Avila beach.”
Reviewed 15 July 2014 via mobile

We took a day trip to San Louis Obispo, Pismo Beach, and Avila Beach. We visited the mission and SLO museum which wee nice but it was hot and humid. We then went to the Sycamore Mineral Springs spa and rented a two person hot tub for an hour. My friend is shy of public bathing so this was a perfect way of enjoying the water with a fair amount of privacy. After one hour in the mineral springs we were relaxed, refreshed, and the usual aches, pains, and stresses of driving over two hours were relieved. It was a nice treat and put us in the perfect mood for a nice dinner and the drive home.

Dear Kori,

Thank you for your recent visit to Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort and Spa. We appreciate your business and the time to write a review.

It sounds like you had a very fun, well-rounded day on the Central Coast. It’s such a great area to explore! We are glad you made it in to Sycamore to ease your travelled bodies. The Mineral Water really does improve aches and pains and is such a great feature at Sycamore.

We hope to see you again in future. Thank you again and be well!

Sincerely,

We have enjoyed numerous stays at this facility and were excited for a quick get a way. We stayed in newly renovated room, but the hot tub needed attention. The water was warm at best, the jets were very weak (non-existent). In fact, the general water pressure was poor. We contacted the front desk and did not seem to gather any attention in this matter. The receptionist took notes, but again seemed to dismiss the concerns brought forward.

We loved the room and felt like the price was actually pretty reasonable for all you got. Wish we could have stayed longer. The only downside was the meal at the onsite restaurant- which we felt was over priced for the actual quality. The service was fine, but for that much $$ I expected scallops to be a LITTLE bigger or at least well cooked. Mine were tough and overdone. Everything else was magnificent !

Great place. Cottage was private but noisy due to workman and ceaseless traffic noise for such a sleepy road to Avila beach. Staff is excellent and restaurant exceptional in a community of outstanding restaurants.

Our hot tub leaked for both both days of our stay the comfort of the hot tub is the reason we get those particular rooms. the site requires that i unreasonably continue to state that our hot tub could not stay fulllllllllllll. is that enough letters?

Dear Ryan,

Thank you for staying with us at Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort. We appreciate your continued business.

We are so sorry to hear that your hot tub wouldn’t stay full both nights. Sometimes the drain knob isn’t entirely closed, so there will be a slow drain occurring. We are more than happy and willing to send someone out to access the hot tub valves for you in this case. Please do not hesitate to call the Front Desk if this problem occurs next time. We would hate to have you dissatisfied with your Tub experience as that is the essence of Sycamore.

Thank you for your time in writing a review and we hope to see you soon!

Sincerely,
Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort

Location was great but room was very dated. We were traveling with a 5 month old. It was very hard to push a stroller up the hill to our room. The restroom was very small and was hard to get ready and take care of baby's essentials. The walls were very thin, as we could hear our neighbors and their kids. Parking near our room was limited, so if we could not find parking we had to park by the lobby and push or carry our baby up the hill. We were told we had a Queen size bed, felt more like a twin. We ended up leaving the night before we were due to check out. We only spent one night due to how uncomfortable we were in the room. We were disappointed with the type of room we got for the money.
