Owner description: Want a piece of ABC gum? Head to this fascinating, if somewhat unsanitary, walkway that features walls covered with gum of the "already been chewed" variety.

I wanted to see bubblegum alley but wasn't prepared for the smell. I think it's interesting looking, and kinda cool, but the smell is a bit over the top. Bring your gum, chew it up, stick it to the wall, take photo, and leave. It's a 15minute stop, if that.

This is one of these places that is revolting yet plays on your curiosity. Who started this? How did it turn into a "chewed bubblegum movement". How do they reach that high? Why is all the lower bubblegum color washed out? My daughter was terrified of getting her hair stuck in it. Lol! It is nasty, but it is so disgustingly unique that you at least must stand in the street and look at it just to say you did. This is probably the most unsanitary attraction in the U.S. but it gets top ratings for one-of-a-kind grossness!

You need to park your car in the city centre and walk by foot. Was a little hard to find but when we found it, it was sooo good. You need to stick your own gum on the wall but... watch out you dont somebody else's gum!

It is grossly great, it is grossly great and unique to the city of San Luis Obispo.

I've watched tourists from all over the world leave their wad of gum on this wall. People wander down the alley and peruse the gum globs like they are works by Jackson Pollock or Picasso, and maybe in a way they are.

Put your snobbery on a rear burner and pull out your sense of humor for this crazy place.

Bubblegum alley is a unique experience, a multi-generational disgusting defacement turned conceptual art. Walking through the tiny pathway, you’re surrounded by a brick 2-story “canvas” upon which generations of “artists” have expressed themselves through the medium of chewing gum. Albeit somewhat crude (artistically and literally), the numerous colors, designs, expressions and lingering sweet scents of masticated confectionery is an event not to be missed.
