The staff are great food really good. The front desk staff took really good care of me, and the room was clean and comfortable. The pool area is great, and the room wasn't too expensive. They have a nice gym, the lobby staff is great, and they have free dvd's to watch.

The area is old, but hotels should be upgraded from time to time. The beds are new and the room is comfortable, but the carpet, drapes and bathroom could use a little help. The staff is courteous and the prices are reasonable.
The breakfast provided was much better than average.

This was another pit stop on our way up the coast. I am quite easy to please without all the frills, but I wished we would've paid more for one of the other hotels around the area.

It was only for one night and I'll make it quick and easy:

Pros
- affordable
- free decent breakfast
- convenient location to the freeway
- convenience for walking to downtown shops and restaurants

Cons
- jacuzzi was lukewarm (bummer)
- decor and furnishings were circa 1984
- shower pressure was lacking
- bed was too hard for us

I would only recommend as a one night stay if you want no frills and a hard bed is fine for you.

We stayed at this hotel during a trip we took along the pacific coast highway. I have to be honest we were dreading this stay but out of the 4 hotels booked this was by far the best. We were checked in by Chris who was extremely efficient and friendly. We were given a choice of rooms which we were able to park right outside. The hotel provided us with a map and excellent directions to the downtown area including where restaurants were located, the distance and closing times of the shops and restaurants. The downtown area is really lovely and is about a 20 minute walk away (approx 1 mile). The hotel itself was extremely clean, the room was of a good size with plenty of amenities (fridge, microwave, coffee maker) and breakfast was included (a really good selection). Had a great nights sleep, as the area is slightly out of town it is very quiet. If you travelling there is a gas station right next door. Would 100% recommend.

Old style motor court. Squeaky floors. We got the "Governors Suite" on the second floor which included a separate sitting room. We had a mini fridge and microwave (no plates or utensils included). 3 sinks: bathroom, bedroom and bar. Clean. Comfortable bed. Relatively quiet. Very helpful staff. Breakfast included (eggs, waffles, sausage and good pastries). Within a mile of downtown. Good restaurants (try the clam chowder at Splash) within walking distance. Pool. Hot tub. Quiet air conditioners!

We chose this place mainly because we were traveling with our dog, and this hotel accepts pets. It turned out to be a pretty good choice.

The hotel was fairly full when we stayed so room options were limited, but they did have a suite available for what seemed like a reasonable price (I think it was $129, plus another $20 for the dog). The room was quite spacious--a living room with sofa bed, wet-bar, desk, TV, etc., the bathroom, and a separate bedroom with an extra sink and another TV. The bedroom had REALLY high ceilings (maybe 20 feet high) and tall windows, and was otherwise very spacious.

The bed was comfortable, but the sofa bed, which our daughter slept on, was something of a joke. The "mattress" was wafer-thin and didn't cushion her from the bars and springs underneath, so she had a seriously uncomfortable night of sleeping. Something to keep in mind if you plan on having anybody sleep anywhere other than the bedroom during your stay.

The room décor is decent, though the bathroom was dated (looking like something from a cheap 1980s suburban condo) and not particularly well-maintained. The HVAC system worked well. There is free Wi-Fi, but the signal was weak and the connection speed was slow, at least in our room.

There's a pretty nice pool and hot tub area, with patio tables and a nice gas BBQ available for guest use. (Beware if your room is near it, though--some rowdy, shouting guests took it upon themselves to have a loud party there the night we stayed, and the management didn't seem interested in doing anything to stop them.) There's a "fitness center" but it's fairly worthless--there are only a few machines and most of them are not in proper working order. The rooms come with breakfast which, while not all that good, is at least several cuts above the typical "basket full of industrial-grade mass produced pastries" sort of thing that passes for "breakfast" at many hotels in this class--at least this one provides a steam table with pans of scrambled eggs and sausages, as well as some fruit, toast, yogurt, etc.

All in all, while this is certainly not a luxury place, it was just fine for what it was and I'd stay there again.

They serve an excellent breakfast with home made joghurt, fresh grapefruits and warm items as well! We stayed for one night with our whole family, grandparents and adolescents included!
We would book it anytime again!
