“great for picnics”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

This is a fairly large area with a great children's play area, a small animal habitat, a museum that is hands-on explaining tide pools, etc. It has many picnic areas and a pretty view of a boat harbor.

“Breath-taking Views”
Reviewed 23 October 2013

Coyote Point Recreation area is so close to major highways, yet it is so easy to feel far away from the busyness of the bay area there. We especially love the gently sloping trails that reveal these breath taking views of the bay from many angles, can even watch the planes land at SF Airport. Exciting to watch windsurfers nearby. Beautiful Veterans' Memorial is a surprise along one of the trails. Incredible natural history exhibits on display at the CuriOdyssey museum, great learning experiences for kids and adults alike. Huge playground for kids with castle and dragon themes. Also available here: swimming, boating and sailing. Be prepared for windy days, just in case.

Entrance fee to park. If you like natural beauty and an atmosphere to soak in relaxation without much effort, it's worth it to visit for an hour or all day.

“A lot to do!”
Reviewed 9 October 2013

Lots to recommend at Coyote Point. A good sail launch area and beach, small marina, great views of the Bay, easy trail to hike or bike (connects with the inner Bay Trail for miles of riding). Golf course is so-so. Restaurant is reasonably good.

“Great place to take grandchildren”
Reviewed 7 September 2013

We try to find interesting and healthy places to bring our grandchildren on our babysitting days.
The live bee honeycomb has bees traveling through a tube to the honeycomb and then tons of worker bees and drones tending to the comb. There were hands on exhibits including a ball being directed by every type of leveage device imaginable, magnets designed to form gears when placed together etc. Outside , one could view small owls from every angle through windows created in a tunnel and otters swimming through a stream and waterfalls with views from above and below. There is a playground nearby with super long slides . We enjoyed lunch while watching the planes land at SFO near the snack bar .

“Nice place to take the kids”
Reviewed 17 August 2013

The times I have been here has been quite windy so be sure and take jackets. There are 2 great playground areas and a beach area. You can rent stuff or buy a kite to fly. There are lots of picnic tables and very clean. You can take a hike and get an awesome view of the bay and watch planes land. There is a fee to enter the park which is for parking.
