I stayed in one of the selected HHonors suites on the fifth floor, alone. Unfortunately I had an unexpected guest at night scurrying around the room and at one point banging into by back while I lay in bed ..... he seemed to be friendly from the glimpse I got . However rats are not what you expect to be sharing your room with . Yes .. I said rats

We booked with this hotel for our wedding room block this past October because we generally loved Embassy Suites hotels. The hotel was pretty yet severely in need of an upgrade. The pool is located indoors so there's a bit of a chlorine smell that lingers throughout the lobby. Our room also had a somewhat stale smell, but we attributed that to the age of the hotel. Our fitted sheet was placed on inside out, but we were so busy dealing with wedding things that weekend that we didn't report this issue. Our door was left slightly ajar after the second night of housekeeping, leaving our room open for any and all! Luckily nothing was taken.

Aside from the aforementioned blips, service, happy hour, and breakfast were up to par with other Embassy Suites hotels.

Another thing to note is that my fiancé and I booked the room block because WE were getting married. We also mentioned this in a phone call after booking. It would have been nice to be greeted as the celebrants when we checked in/it would have been nice if any additional amenities would have been offered.

Overall, we have a positive experience with our stay, but nothing about average for an Embassy Suites.

Embassy Suites has optimal customer service - professional, yet warm and home-y. The rooms are centered around a beautiful tropical setting, with a waterfall and lounge-seating throughout. It made for quite a relaxing evening. Not to mention the complimentary cocktail hour (wow!) and the complimentary breakfast buffet, all serving quality food/drink. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

This was our first night of a 4 night trip to Cali. We had traveled all day, very tired, still had to meet daughter at another airport. Charlene was a delight at the front desk! Our room was on the first floor as requested. This was a great room for our family. Two queen beds in one room and a separate sitting room with pullout couch, and a large bathroom in between. A tv in each room, tiny kitchenette with extra sink, microwave, coffee pot and good size frig. Happy hour was a nice touch from 5:00-7 in the garden area next to waterfall. Nachos, cheeses, salsa, snacks and ice cold lime water. Parking was extra at $7..cheap for Cali standards, but no gates on parking lot, so not sure how that was enforced. We did get a sticker for our windshield.
Staff was extremely courteous throughout our stay. Hotel is older, but reminded me of classic Hollywood days. The beautiful waterfall, high end marble floors etc.
Morning was great with a full buffet breakfast included. Lots of food, lots of choices. We made peanut butter/jelly sandwiches for lunch later. The hotel is off the highway 101, enough that it is in a very nice, quiet area, but only a couple minutes to the entrance ramp and you are back on the highway. Great stay for Point Reyes Park.
Room was clean, all amenities there. I don’t mind if its older if its clean. Plenty of parking, luggage carts…big room! Wished we could have stayed longer, but had to move on.

Racing at Sonoma Raceway and stayed in San Rafael. Easy commute to track. Very clean hotel and accommodating staff. Excellent breakfasts served every morning. Plenty of parking. My wife used the fitness center and it had good machines.
