The hotel looks new, clean with outdoor swimming pool and exercise room. The breakfast is continental buffet. Clean room and carpet. Cookies are available in the afternoon and evening. Dining room service is average. Better than some other 4 points hotels. Mall is nearby, walk distance. 3-5 miles to San Rafael downtown.

Room tip: Higher floor has better view.

Our car broke down just outside of San Rafael while we were road trip en route home to the Seattle area. While our car was being repaired, we found positive reviews for the Four Points online and decided to stay there. It's just outside of the town proper (a cute little village if you are ever passing through). It's a nice property, and has really friendly staff. They have an on-site restaurant and bar. A great outdoor pool area which was big hit with our kids. Since we were car-less, we opted to dine at the hotel facility. Not the cheapest meal, but a great menu for both the adults and kids alike. Very helpful and friendly waitstaff. After dinner, we wandered down the hill and across the street to a small shopping complex. They had a grocery store, several restaurants and a mix of stores (which we found out after we had dined). This is the Bay Area, so not a cheap hotel, but it was not as high as some hotels in the area for that time of year, and it was nice. Many of the hotels we looked at online that were more reasonable seemed scary and very remote. We would stay here again. A great spot for families. Many of the people at dinner were using the hotel as a base to take day trips to San Francisco, Napa, Sonoma, etc. It's a great location.

Sheraton 4 points is an event and business hotel. Rooms are standard with good bedding and modern bathrooms, Pool and on site restaurant.. Unlike many hotels today breakfast is not complimentary but available on a paid basis. Coffee was complimentary in the morning, Good location for activities in Marin county. Abundant parking. Recommend. Hope this helps.

The hotel looks good on the pictures but the service is not good. Unless you are going there for work do not bother the location is horrible right on the 101 the windows are single glazed so you will hear the traffic all night. After a disturbed sleep we went downstairs for breakfast to find out that we had to pay an extra $30 dollars for it .... we tried to make coffee in the room and the machine leaked all over the electrics the staff came and nearly laughed at us for being upset... 2 stars only because is cleaner than most hotels in the USA

I wanted to start by saying the reception desk was excellent. The male manager was working I tried to get him to fax an important document and he said it went through but didn't provide me with a confirmation. The fax did not go through and he was extremely rude when asking him if he could fax it. He also was willing to raise his voice when I booked two different bookings during the same stay and I requested an extra drink ticket for my wife. Just not very friendly. I will never recommend this hotel if management treats customers like this.
