This company goes above and beyond to make sure that you are comfortable and having a good time. The do everything from picking you up from your hotel, driving the group from winery to winery and packaging anything that you may purchase along the way. At the end, they also give you a souvenir wine glass from every winery that you visit. When my boyfriend and I first got on the bus, everyone was friendly but still a little hesitant in mingling. By the end of this day, we all knew things about each other such as careers and family situations. This is a great way to try different types of wines to find what you like best. We had different levels of wine drinkers, all of which appeared to be having a good time. One couple was celebrating an anniversary by doing this tour for the 3rd time! This is something I will do again, great company and great wine!

There are so many wineries in the Santa Barbara wine land, you will have to make a selection! Melville Vineyard is a cool place to enjoy a picnic and your wine in a beautiful setting! The winery has a Mediterranean touch and you will feel like in the heart of Tuscany!

A "off-the-beaten-path" recommendation is to visit the little Danish town Solvang. You can still feel the influence of the Danish settlers and you will find everything, from windmills and Danish pastries to great Danish restaurants. But of course, this little town also has two wine tasting rooms. Check out the Presidio, they have great wines and outstanding service!

Enjoy your time in Santa Barbara!

Two friends started out on this wine tasting oddysey, and 18 friends came home. In the beginning, everyone is fairly quiet. Talking quietly to the ones they came with. But after tasting a few dozen wines, the social barriers come down. We had an absolute blast hanging out with, among others, a couple old enough to be our grandparents. By the end of the trip, everyone on board, who came from like 5 different hotels, was promising to come back next year and do it again. We probably won't but that's not the point.

It's just a really well-planned day with a good amount of wine information, enough wine to feel happy but not sloppy, a super good lunch, and a very accommodating driver/guide. I'll be doing this regular.

Decided to use this wine tour service on the second day of a wine tasting excursion after driving the first day and realizing that between the generous pours in the area and the prevalent DUI checkpoints, ya better not drive. Wow... it may be a better deal than driving yourself. We spent $98 for a six hour tour that included a prearranged winemaking tour at Firestone Winery, a notably scrumptious lunch set up at a quant little winery that starts with a B (wine memory), and a total of four wine tastings included that would have cost us $40pp if we had driven ourselves. Plus we got discounts on purchases that ended up saving over $30 between the two of us and a "host" (they don't call themselves "drivers" who actually changed up the planned itinerary to give us more great Pinot Noirs. Not sure how the math works out, but what we paid for the 6-hours of a knowledgable and accommodating DD was dirt cheap! I will do this again, but next time with a bunch of girlfriends. The guys are ready for beer after the second stop, so I would recommend this mainly for girlfriend outings.

They call this a "wine Tour" but every tour I've been on is strictly structured and this was pleasantly not so. Although we were presented with an itinerary listing certain wineries, after a discussion of our likes and dislikes, our driver Thomas actually changed up the day in a way that was exactly what we wanted, but left to our own devices we would have never figured it out. We were fortunate enough to go on a slow weekday with just one other couple, and they were game for anything, so it ended up being all about us (actually all about the wife, since I am not much of a wino and was happy drinking any hooch presented to me). By the time you count up the costs of the tastings ($40) that are included and the lunch (about $16 if you bought it yourself at Panino, by my estimate), you are only really paying an extra $42 (total $98 per person) to have an interesting and knowledgable guy drive you around for 6 hours, set up your lunches in a fu-fu picnic setting that the wives love, load in all your purchases and give them to you all neatly arranged in boxes at the end of the day, and let you kick back in a big comfortable cool shuttle while someone else does all the work. Seems like a pretty good deal for a great service in todays world of high prices for low service. Cheers, Thomas, and thank you Grapeline. We'll be back with our whole neigborhood in the Spring. -- Andrew and Annie from Azusa
