Two blocks from the beach, near the harbour and on a quiet road.
This is really a small hotel that provides a breakfast and not what I would call a B&B. For us though it was just right, big enough to be a hotel but small enough to be friendly and helpful.
The accommodation we had was the basic room, (on the ground floor facing the car park) but even so it was good in terms of comfort, space and fittings.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The breakfast consisted of a choice between yogurt, fruit and granola or a cooked option, the latter changed each day. In addition orange juice and fresh fruit salad was served each day, with self service tea and coffee. I had the cooked option each day and all were good.
We were worried about train sounds which we heard on arrival in the afternoon, but there was no problem during the night.
We would recommend it and certainly would stay there again
Whilst there we ate at:-
Endless Summer – a mistake - we thought the service was poor and the food, at best mediocre Will not go there again.
Cava – based to east of the centre Santa Barbara at Montecito and you need a car. Well run, large portions and a lively atmosphere. Worth a visit.
Toma – very near (five minutes walk) and the best restaurant we found in California.More
