The Eagle Inn is a small but wonderful hotel in Santa Barbara. It is the perfect mix of mom-and-pop style service and 1st class amenities. I've stayed there several times and intend to do so again. The location is great for everything from shopping, entertainment, arts and the beach.

The stay was great. Though the bikes were free I would suggest regular preventative maintenance. My wife's chain kept falling off and I was able to borrow some wrenches at the pier maintenance shed. Had she been on some of the hills she would not have brakes -

Thank you for your review of The Eagle Inn. I appreciate your comments about the free bikes. It is so much fun to cruise around town without worrying about parking the car. Thanks for fixing the chain - lucky she didn't ride off the end of the pier!
Have a great summer

The Eagle Inn has been our "home away from home" for over a decade. They are totally committed to making your Santa Barbara vacation perfect. They have a beautiful building with a real Santa Barbara atmosphere. And, you can walk miles on the beach, visit the harbor, the pier, State Street and the entire downtown area...we think this is the perfect Inn for these adventures.

This B&B was a great location, and with a good breakfast and bikes -A HUGE BONUS as we rode all over the city since we there over the Solstice Parade and we didn't have to drive during the day and battle parking. It was wonderful to ride bikes everywhere we went. We rode around the ocean, up hills to Montecito, to State Street, the park where the Solstice Fair was, and the Presidio. At night, we took our car. It was great place for us since it was very central despite the excessive noise from both the train (as late as 1 a.m.!) and people staying upstairs at all hours we we'd recommend staying on the upper floor. The young women at reception were usually friendly and could be very helpful printing out maps or info. on certain places, but when there were two women, they were someone rude not indicating where our room was, and allowing us to wander, when they could have simply pointed straight ahead, then laughing when we asked for a wake up call. I guess they don't do wake up calls. But overall, the room was comfortable with coffee/tea, T.V, hair dryer, with ample breakfast, and the bikes were great. Saved us the hassle of finding bikes to rent and saving the cost as well.

Thanks for your helpful review. Those bikes sure do get a lot of use! I"m glad you were able to do and see so much with pedal power. The Summer Solstice is one of the funnest weekend parades and festivals that Santa Barbara puts on. I'm glad you got to experience it all. Thanks so much, and please come visit us again soon.

The hotel was pretty and at a very good proximity to all the attractions. The rooms could be a little more updated, but overall, very nice. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and quiet.

Thanks for writing a review. It's very helpful for us to know what our guests think of their stay. We try to improve and implement all (constructive) suggestions. I'm glad you found the hotel quiet and comfortable. We just replaced all the mattresses in May, so I'm happy that you noticed their comfort!
Thanks again. I hope to see you back up here soon.
