“Amazingly nice”

Needed an overnite stay in the Santa Barbara area and since it was spring break, decided to avoid the beach areas in favor of Montecito. Chose the Montecito Inn as we had stayed there some time ago and wanted to revisit.
The price point was very fair for such a convenient location and service oriented spot. The room, though small, was perfect, cozy and well appointed from the very comfortable bed, soft luxurious bathrobes and lovely bath and body products. We heard some noise from adjacent rooms plumbing, but no freeway or traffic noise.(room 207)
Service was terrific, from valet parking to check in process, and especially nice since I left my cellphone which they sent promptly.( I received it within 24 hours of arriving back home.) Thank you!
The complimentary breakfast was fine, not nearly as nice as everything else, but we were only looking for coffee and a Danish prior to leaving.
We were not at all disappointed and would recommend this lovely little inn and plan to return. I wish we would have looked at suites.

Room Tip: I would ask about room size and storage if I was traveling w/kids or staying for more than a few day...

Got a good deal on a Couple's Getaway Package here and scheduled a two night stay. We got to the Inn early and were able to check in without delay. The staff is magnificent and so very friendly. They provided helpful information on local things to do, good restaurants in the area and driving directions. The room was a little small but laid out so well that it was not bothersome. We had a great view of the mountains out both sides of our corner room. We had a little noise from the street but there was not much traffic so it didn't cause any trouble sleeping. The only thing that kept me awake some was the weight of the beautiful comforter which was so heavy that It was very warm and I woke up sweating. The next night I switched it for the thinner blanket in the closet.

We came to the Montecito Inn because it was on our way north to Seattle and mainly because they had a Tesla charging station in the valet. It was free for hotel guests. The hotel is nice and vintage. We only stayed one night, but the staff was very pleasant and helpful. There was a nice cafe on the property that served a continental breakfast in the morning. There was also a small bar connected to the hotel as well.

They had an old style gated elevator for accessing the upper levels. The room was decorated with modern decor, though you could tell the construction seems vintage. From the doors to the walls. The only issue we had was the rooms were relatively small, and the bathrooms were tight as well. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would stay their again if we visit Santa Barbara.

The Montecito Inn is truly a quaint and wonderful place to stay. It has the feel of a bed a breakfast for a full service hotel with a pool, fitness room, and restaurant. Just a few steps outside the hotel are small shops, art galleries, and other great restaurants to try out. Santa Barbara was also surprisingly just a few minutes drive. I was curious to find out that Charlie Chaplin used to own this hotel. They offer vintage Charlie Chaplin DVDs for the DVD players in the room. The rooms were comfortable, but keep in mind the bathroom is small. However, the hotel is clean, has a lot of charm, and is at a great location. We had a great romantic stay.

This lovely inn, built by Charlie Chaplin, in the delightful village of Montecito neighboring Santa Barbara charms us every time! The overall quality, decor and furnishings throughout, and town(s) around, everything about this place, feels just right each time we visit. If you'll be in the Santa Barbara area, it's really hard to improve on on a stay here.

I had seen bad reviews and it's not bad at all. In fact, we were very impressed with the decor. Yes, our room was small, but who spends so much time in their room anyway? I loved the updated furnishings and bedding, but glad they maintained the historical bathroom tiles. I had read about noise from other reviews so I made sure to request something quiet. Unfortunately even though our stay was on a Sunday and could not have been at capacity they stuck us in the room right next to the elevator on the second floor (aka probably the red headed step child room). It was soooo noisy. We are a couple in our mid 30's and a lot of older people frequent this hotel and they were all partying it up walking to the elevator/stairs. I didn't appreciate that and my husband put ocean sounds on the docking station provided in the room to muffle out the sounds as I was exhausted from our road trip there. So at least I muffled everyone out. The hotel is small, but I like that it's a historical. It's a smaller version of La Valencia in La Jolla. And a short walk/drive to the beach and Four Seasons nearby. I would highly recommend staying in Montecito than Santa Barbara if you're more into high end/ritzy-ness. There was plenty of street parking at the beach down the road and overall the area is much quieter. I would recommend it to others, but tell them to count on an iPod of ocean sounds to muffle out the noise if stuck in a room near common areas :/

Room Tip: They have continental breakfast, hey it's better than nothing so you can spend more on lunch an...
